Well hi there, Sugar. How you doing? You call me Granny Good Good. It's like good granny, but even better. Now listen, I got something to tell you, so I'm on you to sit your butt down and open your earballs, child. Now I done lived a long, long time, and I could tell you all kinds of stories. But right now I got the one that I know you really love. It's got action, it's got adventure, it's got suspense. Sometimes it's even a little bit of me thrown in there. This here story is about four of my favorite little ones thrown into context and their struggle to find answers in a world on the brink of destruction. They didn't ask to be heroes, but that's what's happening, whether they like it or not. Now, first, there's Delos, the clockwork warrior, trapped on an island for so long, he searches now for meaning in the big white world and the divinity which can be found within. Jenova is a druid and a water nymph, searching for a way to cleanse the corruption which destroyed her home and took away the peaceful life she once knew. Lunette, the scrappy fairy lass, seeks safety for her people and answers from her grandfather to the dark questions haunting her past. Now, Venaria, the shape-shifting warrior of faith, seeks the meaning of her family's connection to the wild goddess Stejia and the gifts bestowed upon her line. Now they just got done spending a few weeks running around all over the Fay Courts of Keijumaa, slaying dukes left and right and waking the sleeping queen Nitania. Now, with the path between the plains open once more, they're on their way back to their own world, Demorah. Now I hope you're ready, sugar. You got your nibbles and your sips, got yourself all queued up, all comfy cozy. Good. You're gonna want to listen to this one.

We open to a single four-bed suite, a reminiscent of like a cozy village inn. There's a warm fire burning in the accompanying hearth to keep away a slight chill in the air. It's comfortable, it's homey, you smell bread baking, there's meat cooking somewhere. The light of early morning shines in through the windows, catching some dust moats and the occasional bit of ash coming out of the hearth. If if anywhere could feel more like home, I could not imagine what it would be like right now. The people in the room, unconscious, are lying in beds of just impossible comfort, wearing white terry cloth robes. They sleep peacefully, except for a mechanical man, known as a clockwork, who stands motionless in one corner. Then with a click, a light from within stirs to life, and his eyes light up.

Speaker 1

Uh, Elizabeth, why don't you tell us about your character?

Speaker 12

Delos doesn't really sleep. So he kind of just clicks and is awake, is present in this room that is very unlike anything he's ever experienced before.

Speaker 6

Yeah, you you don't usually do the not like lack of awareness. It was very abrupt for you.

Speaker 12

Yeah, it suddenly I was in one place and now I'm in another. And this is interesting. I'm surrounded by people who I trust to at least an extent. Mainly with my life. So I'd hope so. He kind of shifts to make sure that everything's okay. But he uh is standing in the corner with a large, fairly intimidating stature clockwork made mostly of brass. But you can see this light silver filigree and homage to his jewelry appearance. And it is lightly tinged pink after his encounter with his goddess. Yeah. Um like on the on the edges, a material he's never really had access to because of its holy connotations, but uh it's as though her reassembling him kind of just gave that. Yeah.

Speaker 6

Um little touch of a blessing there.

Speaker 12

Yeah. Um he kind of glows from within with this light blue glow, um, especially like whenever he opens his mouth and his eyes. Otherwise it's completely covered because the core is important. While most of the clockworks from where he's from would show them he was more of a warrior, and so it was not reasonable or rational to have something so so vulnerable just out. Uh that being said, he doesn't really wear any armor. He feels he has no need, but he does carry a shield with the symbol of Natanya on it. Uh he takes a quick inventory of like all of his things, making sure he has his Warhammer, his shield, anything precious to him.

Speaker 6

All of your equipment is actually in a neat little pile next to you. And it all looks to be essentially brand new.

Speaker 12

Perfect. Um and yeah, he'll look around and make sure that these organics that he's never really he's experienced you all sleep once, but he's a little concerned that you're okay. Because he doesn't see people sleep often.

Speaker 2

It's like, is this a good sleep or is this like the dying sleep?

Speaker 12

Are you dead? But otherwise he'll just kind of keep an eye on you while he gets his stuff and gets ready.

Speaker 6

Very cool. And then so Jen, why don't you tell us about how your character wakes up?

Speaker 4

So Jenova begins to stir. I've been having quite a bit of dreams, a lot of dreams in her deep slumber. She's very exhausted. She's been through quite a bit uh with the despairing which caused her to her eyes to to darken. When you look at Genova, Jenova, as I began to to kind of like sit up in bed, Jenova Spring Keeper is a water nymph, 111 years old, kind of a young woman amongst the the water nymphs. Druid was of the circle of dreams, but now not only is she a keeper of the springs, she is also the bringer of the wildfire. Circle of the wildfire.

Speaker 6

Taking advantage of that respect token.

Speaker 4

Because she learned that with life there is death. With renewal, there must be death uh to bring healing. And so Jenova, when you look at her, she begins to stand up. She's very tall in life, shimmery blue skin, very fair, blue eyes, dark, kind of auburn reddish hair. Genova begins to kind of look around and kind of like get her bearings. She feels like she's been asleep for a hundred years. She remembers her core mission was to find out the corruption that was destroying the waterways and killing the waterfowl and the people and the creatures that she loved. And so she realizes that she needs to to kind of get on her own mission to to figure that out because it feels like the despairing comes from like the same corruption that had destroyed a lot of the waterways and brought so much death and devastation. And unfortunately, a lot of the waterways and stuff seem to be irreparably, the new life isn't happening. It's it's very much bouncing back. Mm-hmm. It's not bouncing back. And so as she embraces the bringer of the fire, Genova's mission is to bring renewal back to her homeland and bring those responsible to the fate that they so rightfully deserve.

Speaker 1

Excellent. Okay. So then uh Courtney, why don't you tell us about your character as she wakes up?

Speaker 2

Lunette wakes up from kind of an odd dream, very like it felt like she was stuck in one of like Granny's output like out stores. Just endless hallways, halogen lights above her, endless shelves. Uh she wakes up, she like kind of takes inventory of herself. Her body feels the same sometime. Her body feels the same mostly. Uh she does notice that her her right hand and arm all the way up to her shoulder has been replaced with a kind of like black gunmetal prosthetic. And the weird part about that is that it moves as her arm would have if it was still there. She is still kind of like recollecting her thoughts. Sh it doesn't quite dawn on her that like the severity of that. She's just kind of like, What is that? Uh looking around, she sees the pile of her her thieves' equipment, her rogue gear. As an outlander, she had a lot of survival gear with her. Her familiar hoonie is napping alongside her pile of stuff. She is an arcane trickster rogue, multiclassed with what will hopefully be a Gloomstalker Ranger. She turns and in a mirror she sees herself. Her very long, silvery grey hair is unkempt, but all there. Her blue eyes, her dark blue eyes remain the same. She appear everything appears to be in order. She's a young 24-year-old Eilon, which in this world is called a fairy, kind of like elf elfish in stature. And she is very she's very confused, just trying to figure out where exactly she's at.

Speaker 6

Yeah, it's been a lot of abrupt changes recently.

Speaker 12

Like from fighting gods to asleep in a cozy little cabin. She's like, she's like, wait, uh wait, hold on, so did we get to Disneyland?

Speaker 6

I think last time you slept at a place like this, there was like a murder mystery happening. Literally. It was clue.

Speaker 7

And even then it wasn't this posh.

Speaker 6

Yeah. Brandon, why don't you tell us about your character? Let's hold on as the bass bumps nearby.

Speaker 2

Damn. Just in time.

Speaker 6

Damn. Alright, cool. So now that would have been amazing if I was playing a bard. Right. Like that. Yeah. But yes, why don't you go ahead and tell us about uh your character, Brandon?

Speaker 7

Uh so it occurs to me, uh, Venaria is way usually way more comfortable with sleeping outside. So I think in this setting, if she's in a terry cloth robe under multiple things, there is a foot stuck all the way out the covers. At least one for ventilation. Yeah. Uh and so there's there's a lot of tossing and turning, but she as she uh awakens and kind of sits up. She is dealing with the fact that she is uh as of recently now six feet tall. And so first thing is to stand and wobble. Um and uh her uh completely uh untethered new mane of white hair, uh I just gotta imagine is like all of the static. Because she previously she kept it in this really tight braid down her back, but that was unleashed, and then she slept in a regular bed. So I'm thinking, you know, opening of of uh frozen.

Speaker 6

Yeah, I was literally just thinking of that. Yeah, her hair's just literally standing on it.

Speaker 7

So she's kind of standing up and just like what the oh yes, that's true. And um, but uh she has uh uh nut brown skin and uh very uh large orange eyes, uh kind of a round face, very trusting features. She's not she's also not used to being out of her armor as a paladin fighter.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 7

And so her first thing is to in this realizing, oh, there's my pile of stuff here. Um but uh she would now also be taking account of the fact that uh the blade she's wielded now for a while, uh that she's had to keep close to keep her div her uh divine powers is gone. Um but uh so I think it's kind of going through the the the pile and then realizing she's still wearing her her holy symbol uh stage of the huntress, uh who's her her her uh chosen deity as a as an a as an oath of ancients paladin.

Speaker 12

I everyone said their subclass. Uh Dalos is a zealot barbarian and a peace clerk.

Speaker 6

It's like I am the Yin and the Yang. Yeah. Oh, it is okay.

Speaker 12

Peace can be brought along through violence sometimes. I'm not a path.

Speaker 6

So uh yeah, everybody's gear is in neat little piles, clean, folded, oiled, sharpened, like they essentially look brand new, as if you had never used it once. I haven't used mine. Yeah, since it was there, yeah. I mean, so it's yeah, not a big change for you.

Speaker 12

Yeah, sorry.

Speaker 7

I think I think Venari's just now seeing the her hammer clean because she didn't have a chance to clean it since she got it. She moved it around.

Speaker 6

It's kind of it's kind of got this like kind of grossness to it anyway, so it's like it's really weird to see it clean. Right.

Speaker 7

Like it's physical, you run your hand over it, oh, it's you can tell it's clean, and now I feel like my aura is contaminated.

Speaker 6

Yeah. The other thing you'll notice is on top of each pile is a bracer of polished steel. Uh, its surface is engraved with unfamiliar symbols. Uh, unless anybody is able to speak celestial.

Speaker 9

I have celestial.

Speaker 6

Do it. You recognize that as celestial. Uh uh go ahead and roll an inside check for me.

Speaker 7

Give yourself guidance. Let's make it worth meta.

Speaker 6

Five. Yeah, so you're not a hundred percent sure of what exactly it is, but you can tell that they are symbols used specifically for enchantment. It's kind of like it's kind of like knowing what what I what is this? It's like looking at a scientific term and knowing that it's English, but having zero context of what it actually means. Yeah, it's it's jargony.

Speaker 12

A Daylos has never succeeded in an insight check.

Speaker 6

Not when Bardalos is supposed to do.

Speaker 7

It's like we're we're trying to reach you about your armor's extended warranty.

Speaker 6

Yeah. So is anybody putting on their bracer or the what? I'm definitely suiting up for everything else. I just kind of like pick up the bracer, put it on the bed, get to you in a sex, suit up.

Speaker 7

Just feels weird wearing a robe. What the hell?

Speaker 6

Very, very comfy robe.

Speaker 7

Well, and though I think for Venaria, she's she's just in like like nature mode. So she's just like naked without even like doing anything. Just like get this off. That's not okay. Now get me in the stuff, get me in that that scratchy stuff that feels like I'm alive. Yeah.

Speaker 12

I think Delos would pretty quickly be like, eh, seems fine. And put them on. Yeah.

Speaker 6

No, and it upgrade detectors.

Speaker 12

I have the Don Doff thing. It takes me an hour. Driving home.

Speaker 6

Oh yeah, because yours, yours is like integrated into your so this one, because it doesn't require you actually attaching it, it it just fits on. Okay. But like it fits perfectly.

Speaker 2

Oh, okay.

Speaker 7

I'm having these Marvel flashbacks, like we're all gonna get teleported.

Speaker 2

Lunette has an unfortunate history with magic items, where uh the last time she really had like a magical item, it uh well now she lost an arm.

Speaker 7

You know what?

Speaker 2

Do I need to explain Todd in detail? Like you know, we we'll we can we can get to Todd. Yes.

Speaker 7

Now you have it now you have a disposable arm, so if it's like if this thing's gonna blow my arm off, let's put it on the one that's already been replaced.

Speaker 2

I think she's gonna like hold it and kind of like she's like turning it around in her hand and she's like very quietly just kind of like talking to herself, like, is there something in here? Is there something in here? Unfortunately, when it comes to magic items. Hello. Uh when it comes to magic items, she is now terrified. She's been traumatized.

Speaker 6

But no, uh yeah, I mean Daylos, nothing nothing happens with Dalos, but otherwise it's it's just hanging out there.

Speaker 7

I was like, that's pretty. I will think about this more later. There's been it's been a rough couple of yeah.

Speaker 6

Excellent. Well, other than that, y'all are in just a very comfy, cozy room. It appears to be maybe like mid-morning. Uh there's a single door leading out, and there are windows, but the shutters are closed.

Speaker 7

I'm gonna go just open the shutters. Like, I need some fresh air. They will not open. I have a hammer that's fairly large.

Speaker 6

You are welcome to give it a shot. Is it good advantage because it's an inanimate object? You go ahead. Roll is roll, you can have triple advantage if you want. That's what it's not about. Go ahead. Yeah, fuck it.

Speaker 7

I gotta make it. Wow. Okay. Okay.

Speaker 6

What did you roll with triple advantage?

Speaker 7

You give me a plus two weapons, that's plus ten. That's 27.

Speaker 12

Venario just I need air!

Speaker 7

Yeah. She double hands it. Well, did you see the art on the on the Discord?

Speaker 5

This hammer is as tall as she is, and she's gonna two-hand that thing.

Speaker 6

So you yeah, you you haul at this thing with like all your might with this gigantic mall, and uh it bounces right off.

Speaker 5

Oh.

Speaker 6

Actually, roll it, actually roll a dexterity save. No, not dexterity strike.

Speaker 5

Okay. Uh that's still roll for reverb.

Speaker 6

So I got my aura. Um that's 25. Okay. You you manage to catch yourself as that thing flings backward and and just about flips you over. But you managed to keep it.

Speaker 5

Scooby-doo visuals here. It's like brrrrrr.

Speaker 6

Yeah, exactly. Like that, not only did that not work, but there's no way that could have worked.

Speaker 7

Well, she kind of like plants it to be able to stop them. Okay. Well, I took care of that option. Anybody else want to try some?

Speaker 12

Can Dalos look at the windows?

Speaker 6

You sure can.

Speaker 12

Is there like a little latch or anything?

Speaker 6

No.

Speaker 12

Oh, okay. Is there a door?

Speaker 6

Are these infected? There is a door.

Speaker 12

Can I try the door?

Speaker 6

You can. Watch it turn out to be on a cruise ship and we're we're like an F deck so that we've like drowned everybody. Okay. Well, so Dalos, uh, you open the door, and through the door, what you see is a broad circular room of polished white marble tiles and geometric topiary. Uh steps leading down into a broader complex of prop platforms, stairs, and waterfalls. Uh they're all kind of moving in a complex pattern, and spherical drones that look kind of similar to you, but like clearly more I don't want to say advanced, I don't want to insult, but insulting me!

Speaker 12

I'm only 327. I'm like brand new.

Speaker 6

Yeah, I'm sorry, but he hasn't even explained. But yeah, there's there's some spherical drones that are kind of floating around in in small clusters. Okay. Uh they they look to be seeing the like maintenance, uh, some are carrying like supplies suspended between them. It is a lively, but kind of empty place. Um you're not seeing any people around. You said topiaries, are those like actual like living plants? Yes. Okay. Yes. And and like they're they're carved in like geometric figures, like like cubes with like geometric patterns. Like shapes and shit. Shapes.

Speaker 2

Shapes and patterns.

Speaker 12

But there's like the way that crystals grow like um like fool's gold, how it grows in like big.

Speaker 6

Kind of, yeah. Yeah, it's it's it's all about like shapes and the pattern of those shapes to kind of make the change.

Speaker 5

And then we notice there's like one T-Rex at the back, like because there's we just had to get artsy somewhere in it.

Speaker 6

Yeah, yeah, there's just one, just one kind of kind of a wild hair and and made like a mouse.

Speaker 12

Can Delos like like wave at one of their butts and be like, oh, excuse me.

Speaker 6

You you you can.

Speaker 12

Yeah.

Speaker 6

They they they don't they don't respond.

Speaker 12

This is weird.

Speaker 6

Yeah, they're they are very driven about whatever their tasks are, but they don't they don't seem to respond to anyone trying to to flag them down or anything.

Speaker 12

They'll also turn around after failing to talk to one of the robots and be like the the clockwork here are very strange, and it doesn't seem like there's anyone that I can talk to.

Speaker 7

Well, we we're we've clearly been brought here safely wherever here is.

Speaker 2

You don't know where here is. Oh no, no, no, this is entirely new.

unknown

I haven't been.

Speaker 7

I don't know. That's not natural. Yeah.

Speaker 2

No, this is not. Do we ever know where we are at this point?

Speaker 6

So yes, as you as you explore, well as I guess as you're as you're kind of looking around, have you left the room yet?

Speaker 2

Uh Lunette is following Dayless.

Speaker 6

Okay, so we got Daelus and Lunette. Everybody else kind of joining. Excellent. Cool. So as you explore, uh, you start encountering a series of signs, like on just copy paper, taped to walls, topiaries.

Speaker 12

Telling us where to go.

Speaker 6

Yeah. Uh there's even a passing drone has one type taped to it as it's floating by.

Speaker 12

Follow me to adventure.

Speaker 6

Yes. So are you following the signs?

Speaker 12

What do what do they say?

Speaker 6

Is it just the words on it, or is it somebody's layers? Oh, they're just somebody's like arrows pointing that way.

Speaker 12

Okay.

Speaker 3

Yeah. Hell we might as well.

Speaker 2

Is this normal?

Speaker 7

What is normal?

Speaker 2

Yeah, it uh it appears to be our new normal, unfortunately.

Speaker 6

As as you as you're asking that, there's actually a sign in front of you that says yes, this is normal. They will blindly trust that way. Sure.

Speaker 7

That's the fun of having uh like like lit like uh locked in prescients. It's like it's like right here, they're still gonna be standing right here.

Speaker 5

Somebody asks, Is this normal? Put it right there. Yep.

Speaker 7

There you go.

Speaker 12

Perfect. I will continue following her here.

Speaker 7

Whoever printed these seems to know what we're doing.

Speaker 6

So yeah, they they will you will continue to see these arrows pointing, you know, going around a corner, going down a hallway, going up some stairs. Every time you have a question, it's like, are we still going the right way? There'll be a sign of yes, you're still going the right way.

Speaker 12

Continue forward.

Speaker 6

Continue, please. It's like we go into a job interview, what the fuck?

Speaker 12

It says it in like six different languages, all that we have like common and then all individual ones that you speak. Including one for um uh hooney.

Speaker 5

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It is just a paw print. It's just a paw prints in the series of weird symbols.

Speaker 6

But yeah, no, it will lead you eventually to a pair of double doors. Uh do you enter said doors?

Speaker 12

Dalos will knock.

Speaker 6

It'll knock. That's very polite of you. Good job, Dalos. I mean, have a treat.

Speaker 2

Lunette is very specifically letting Delos knock. She has stepped back. Delos has noticed all of you guys are just kind of like, this is weird.

Speaker 12

And Dalos is like, oh well, this is weird for me too.

Speaker 7

Well, I feel like Venaria though is actually upfront with with Delos because the whole her whole thing is this whole time has been find a reasonable authority figure. And so it's like, whoever printed these, there there's a system in place here, just proceed and all will be revealed.

Speaker 12

Religion is like this, so I am comfortable.

Speaker 7

Yeah, blind right where I'm at home. Yes.

Speaker 6

Excellent. So uh yeah, you you you knock on the doors, and from inside you hear, come in.

Speaker 12

So open the door and gesture for you all.

Speaker 7

Very good. We've been dealing with Granny this whole time. Maybe there's a Grampy.

Speaker 8

Granddad.

Speaker 2

Oh geez. Uh Lynette hears like the age of the voice, and you just see her like close her eyes and look up. And she's just kind of like just one normal old person. Just one. It's why are they always like it's never like a crazy middle-aged person. It's always like, whatever.

Speaker 6

So inside you see an older man sitting behind a broad ovular desk wearing an old timey accountant outfit.

Speaker 12

Is the word you're looking for. You said ovular.

Speaker 6

It is ovular.

Speaker 12

I have used that word in the city.

Speaker 6

It's got a center and then like two words. It's ovoid. Pardon me. Ovoid oval. Inside, we see an older man sitting behind anything. Ovoid desk. With a picture of a uterus on top of it.

Speaker 2

That would take so much time. You walk into the gynecologist's office.

Speaker 6

So he's been walking into the turn. Yes. So he's wearing an old timey accountant outfit with the green celluloid eye shade. And he's got sleeve garters, a vest, a bow tie.

Speaker 12

Like an old timey tax man.

Speaker 6

Yeah, and the bow tie's got like little clock faces on it.

Speaker 12

Oh.

Speaker 6

He's typing at an antique typewriter, and he doesn't quite look up at you as you enter. Okay, do any of us know what any of those are? Like just from the. No, I'm just I'm describing them to you, the players, and the people listening at home because they will know what this is. But your characters are like, what the fuck?

Speaker 11

Why is his bow tie made of clocks?

Speaker 6

Oh, oh, hey, uh, listen. You got the wrong department, kids. Uh, you're looking for TI. Hold on.

Speaker 11

And he will We were following signs and they said hold just hold on.

Speaker 6

You'll hit a button on a little little box. Uh again. You you as the players would recognize this as an intercom. And he goes and he hits the button on it. Uh and you hear somebody on the other end go, operator! Oh, the exact same voice. They wound up in predetermination. Can you call Lyft to take him up to TI?

unknown

What?

Speaker 6

Well, yeah, I figured there's a platform on the way, should be arriving now. Well, thank you much. You got it, brother.

unknown

Okay.

Speaker 6

And he'll gesture to the left side of the room without looking at you. Just head out the door there, and the platform will take you where you need to go.

Speaker 7

I feel like this is how Journey to the West started. Like we're in the bureaucracy of heaven right now.

Speaker 2

Like Lunette's just gonna kinda like are we dead?

Speaker 6

No, just listen, just take the platform. Everything's fine. You're just in the wrong department. Just just go out the door there. It'll take you where you need to go.

Speaker 11

Okay.

Speaker 6

Thanks!

Speaker 11

Thank you. Her holiness sent us here. She would not kill.

Speaker 2

Dude. You have a lot you have a lot of faith. You have a lot of faith in things a lot bigger than you.

Speaker 7

I usually hate how that goes. That's in character. If I had faith, if I had a lot of faith in smaller things, it wouldn't have as much of a return on the investment, I don't think.

Speaker 2

They were just like, I literally cast magic through her will. Religion just happens to me, apparently.

Speaker 7

Oh, by the way, if I say anything witty in character that is entirely the helmet of intellect, we met her.

Speaker 12

I feel like it'd be it'd be insulting to not have faith.

Speaker 7

I mean, theological schools advocate that agnosticism is the least rational course when the deities are staring you down the barrel of a large weapon.

Speaker 6

Listen, I'm trying to get some work done here. Can y'all uh slowly move?

Speaker 2

Lunette's Lunette's Lunette's whole thing is she's like, look, I met mine too, and faith is not what I'm feeling for him.

Speaker 5

Whoa, TMI. People having crisis of faith in my frigging office.

Speaker 6

I'm just trying to get this report done.

Speaker 12

We're just slowly kind of like shuffling to the side.

Speaker 6

Every time somebody comes in here, I gotta deal with some existential crisis. Predetermination. Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 7

Maybe someday it'll be yours, sir. And it's just just the little like scout salute. We kind of more quickly walk out.

Speaker 12

Yeah, so we're sure shuffling more.

Speaker 6

Um so yes, as you go out the the left-hand door that he pointed out, you find yourself uh looking at a platform roughly twenty-five feet in diameter. It's got that same kind of white marble tile, geometric toper thing going on. The thing of note though is the world outside of predetermination is a featureless white void.

unknown

Oh.

Speaker 6

Broken only by an inscrutable multicolored cable stretching infinitely into the distance in either direction as it travels through the structure that you just exited.

Speaker 2

Heaven delivered to you by fiber optic.

Speaker 6

I was gonna say ATT can't come to your house, but they will come to the bureaucracy of heaven. CORL aboard the platform. It pulls away from the door, and you get to see kind of your first full view of your surroundings.

Speaker 5

Welcome to the TVA.

Speaker 6

The platform moves away just enough so you can get a good look without straining your neck too hard. Uh it is a it is a vast structure made of brass plating, spinning gears, and waterfalls, surrounded by a cloud of platforms like the one that you're standing on. It's its scale is enormous. It is quite literally the size of a small moon. Uh with what looks like white.

Speaker 12

We see a horizon.

Speaker 6

You actually see like the evidence of like a like a very light atmosphere, like thin wispy clouds. And there are like flocks of those drones moving about, kind of flying over, but you also see these enormous crab-like automatons kind of moving across the surface, you know, moving things around, fixing things, opening stuff up. It's essentially a living mechanical world suspended in the void.

Speaker 12

And we're being slowly taken away from the city.

Speaker 6

Yeah, you're kind of like going on this little like gondola.

Speaker 2

And just uh just clarifying, we're not dead, and this isn't hell.

Speaker 6

I have made no promises.

Speaker 12

An NPC said we are not dead, but Delos trusts that we're he he said he said the same thing that most of my NPCs say.

Speaker 6

It's fine, you're gonna be fine. I feel like as as more of this as this like is revealed to be more and more mechanical, like Venari is just kind of like shrinking. Just like, when does nature happen?

Speaker 12

Delos is comfortable for once.

Speaker 6

Like, yeah, this all seems totally fine to you.

Speaker 12

Like, it's weird that they don't talk. Well, other than that, like yeah.

Speaker 6

Like, I'm not sure why they're so antisocial, but I you know I feel comfortable here.

Speaker 12

Like maybe they hate me.

Speaker 6

It's weird that they were so nice and roll for roll for for uh the uh intrusive thoughts.

Speaker 12

I was gonna say self-confidence. Self-confidence, yeah. Okay.

Speaker 6

But at length, the platform travels to what could be called like the north pole of of this gigantic spherical thing. There's a tower there standing a hundred feet in the air, and your platform kind of gener gently comes to a stop at the edge of a covered dock and then has a pleasant little ding. Kind of lets you know that it stopped. Uh this path leads to a doorway. Uh, and its companion door appears to be wedged open.

Speaker 12

Dalos will still knock.

Speaker 2

A very polite boy.

Speaker 12

Every time he has entered a door, you know.

Speaker 6

Okay, so yeah, you gotta like walk up the platform and go over to the door. Um everybody just kind of following along.

Speaker 7

Okay, is there any just and this is because this is Venari who's just he's like, I want I see these, I see these utopiaries, but like, where's ground?

Speaker 6

Um and should I think that there's be a moment like if if we're so this is an open platform, so it's not even like like a whoosh door or anything, it's just this is basically like there there is a door there that would be opening, but somebody's propped it open with as you get a little closer, you can see it's a little one of those wooden door shops, like what you see at school. That's a load-bearing wedge for just a little bit.

Speaker 7

I think there's there's an element of an art where she's just like, just go with it, just go with it. Is there air? There's air. I think there's air. Okay. You appear to be breathing.

Speaker 12

What if I reach into the bushes to see if there's ground below them?

Speaker 5

And then it turns out they're just in water, it's like these are all hydrophobic.

Speaker 12

They're actually just directly into the stone.

Speaker 6

Yeah, you're like, I mean, do you do you go you look at the papier?

Speaker 12

Sure.

Speaker 6

Yeah, no, it's it's in a little it's in a little pot. The soil is is hearing birds?

Speaker 12

Yeah. Yes. Touching grass was the nature.

Speaker 6

No, it's it's that good, good black gold potting soil. The good good. Yeah.

Speaker 10

Gotcha.

Speaker 6

Yeah.

Speaker 7

Not oils. Okay. Okay, so C Shan like relaxes after that, just kind of like okay, I have dirty f I have dirt on my fingers. Life is okay. So just proceeds. Yes. I didn't like it too. We've been sleeping on the ground for three weeks.

Speaker 6

But yeah, as as you are getting up towards that door, you actually seen a white you actually seen? You see a uh white and black sign above the door that reads temporal interdiction. And a voice inside calls out as you approach, I'm in here! Watch your step, I'm in the middle of reorganizing.

Speaker 2

Oh god. That's the net's just fully like, oh my god. It's already bracing. Oh hell.

Speaker 6

That's a whole way writing this scene. I'm very excited for it.

Speaker 7

Ordinarily Venaria would just see like a sign. Temporal temporal intradict. I wonder if we've been involved in some sort of uh cross-stitching of the multiverse.

Speaker 6

I'm an intelligence of 19, and all of a sudden. Have you gotten there's like time shit happening yet?

unknown

What?

Speaker 11

The predeterminational department leading into the temporal intradiction has something to do with tie?

Speaker 6

Believe it or not.

Speaker 11

The clockbow tie?

Speaker 6

Yeah, yeah. Does this guy have a vision? I'm not sure if I like, you know, got the hints out there strong enough. Like this this whole office is a TARDIS.

Speaker 9

Does this guy have a visor?

Speaker 6

Well, as as you okay, so as you walk in. It's the same guy. There's a whole thing. Okay. As you walk in, the room is is like sizable in dimension, but their sheer amount of clutter scattered around the floor and shells makes it look really cramped. There's boxes and crates stacked on top of each other. They're all filled with knick-knacks and doodads, kind of every description. Some look to have come from various parts of like Demora or Kumah. Some of them are completely unknown in four man function. Zero clue what they are. But a voice will call out from behind a stacked pile of boxes as as you come in. Watch out for the finals! They're classics.

Speaker 2

Okay. They will still not know what a final is. Yeah. Lynette's kind of like hedging around boxes, just trying to catch a bump in and just doing this like tuck and move thing of like don't touch him.

Speaker 7

Just kind of like um, who is this lead Zeppelin?

Speaker 12

Yeah, just uh they will put his hands behind his back.

Speaker 2

Yeah, Lynette's just kinda like again, she's gonna stepping around things, making sure not to bump into stuff. Uh yeah, who are you? Where are we? What happened?

Speaker 6

So after after a moment, you see another version of that old man that you saw earlier.

Speaker 2

I fucking knew it.

Speaker 6

He steps out from the behind the boxes and he's wearing a dark side of the moon pink Floyd t-shirt, cargo shorts, and a pair of beat-up old Converse high tops. Uh, he's got his long white hair bound up in a ponytail, and his beard kind of waggles around as he greets you. Hey kids, it's good to see ya. Glad we got you fixed up.

Speaker 11

What?

Speaker 6

Are we fixed up? Hey. Well, you know, linear organisms tend to kind of shut down uh initially when you all come here, so we have to go through this process to localize entropy and re-establish homeostasis within your bodies. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's it's a whole thing. You're all good to go now, though, right? Nobody's screaming in agony, so I guess you're all okay.

Speaker 2

I've never left KMA before. Is this normal? No, no. We'll get back to that. Slow down. I was told this was normal. Slow down. Name, please. Uh well, you can call me Horace. Horace, great. Why? All of it. What happened?

Speaker 5

Uh well, listen, um In the beginning, the un the universe was created.

Speaker 2

Venaria.

Speaker 6

Wait. Now you you you are in the chronosphere. Okay. One and only port of call in the origin. Uh believe it or not, this is the center of literally everything. Well, no, actually. And he's gonna point out a window, and you see one of those drones hovering out kind of in the middle of nothing. It gives a little bobbing dance as as you look over at it. That is the center of literally everything. Every universe, every dimension, every obnoxious little yapping dog can trace its roots back to that one point in space.

Speaker 9

Okay.

Speaker 6

Huh?

Speaker 9

The the little dancing clockwork. Does he stay there?

Speaker 6

Yes. That's his whole point.

Speaker 9

Is he happy?

Speaker 6

Yeah, he's not.

Speaker 12

None of them talk, and this is very strange for me.

Speaker 6

Well, they don't they mean they're they're more purpose-driven, they don't really talk much, but they they have really creative brains. If you let them just like have some paper and some crayons, they'll really go to town.

Speaker 12

They make the topiaries.

Speaker 6

They do. Yeah, they maintain everything around here. I mean, that and the crabs.

Speaker 7

In theory, it would be good for one's self-esteem to know that one is the center of everything.

Speaker 12

Literally the center of the universe.

Speaker 7

He's a little self-esteem engine.

Speaker 12

Why are we here?

Speaker 6

Lo okay. Listen, I know this is confusing. Very. You were on your way home after all that craziness in Kima, and now you're in a weird place talking to some weird old fart instead? Believe me, I get it. We've seen weirder, and personally, sir, I enjoy your style. Well, thank you. I appreciate it.

Speaker 8

You are a bit strange. Well, I I would take that as a compliment, thank you.

Speaker 6

Well, the th the thing is, we had to pull you out when we did, or well, null entropy would have been the least of your worries.

Speaker 2

Okay, that's about the best answer I'm gonna get, isn't it?

Speaker 6

Well, let me put it this way. If you had gone through that portal, you would have fallen a hundred feet straight into the ground and then been eaten alive by unspeakable nightmare creatures.

Speaker 2

Fair enough. What's the new plan? Is there a new play place to land? What's this? What's that?

Speaker 12

Holds up the gauntlet.

Speaker 6

Oh, that. Let me look at the notes that I wrote for that.

Speaker 7

It's in a different part. He's wearing cargo shorts. He like reaches down to his thigh and like pulls out a little notepage.

Speaker 12

Just like a bunch of pieces of paper, like crumpled pieces of paper fall off.

Speaker 6

Those are a gift for me and my brother. Uh right now, they just help us keep an eye on you and we'll let you communicate with each other. Uh, but give it some time and they will grow with you. Eventually they'll become powerful tools to rely on.

Speaker 2

Above the table. Did you just give us pit boys? Kinda. Fair enough. Back to the table. Okay.

Speaker 7

Above table, do they require attunement?

Speaker 6

Because I'm kind of loaded right now. They do not require attunement. Right now you just put them on and that's it.

Speaker 12

Can Dalos try to talk to Venaria from across the room without speaking?

Speaker 6

If does Venaria have the bracer on? Uh I just put it on. There you go. Yes.

Speaker 12

Dalos goes, can you hear me right now?

Speaker 7

She's kind of like pauses, like, how am I hearing you?

Speaker 12

I think she's like, Dalos just like turns and looks at you intensely.

Speaker 7

So I think her go I think her go-to's yes, just out loud.

Speaker 6

He kind of like looks at the two. Oh, well, glad to see it's working. Excellent. Yeah, that's that's that's how you do it. Yep. Just kind of think real hard at each other.

Speaker 7

Oh, okay.

Speaker 6

So does this require like direct like like will, or can is this gonna pick up like background thoughts? You kind of need to be thinking of who you're wanting to talk to. Okay.

Speaker 12

Dale's just gonna look at him and go, can you hear me?

Speaker 6

You hear radio static. No, you you hear a song. I'm just trying to try to decide what song. You you just you just hear really loudly, can you hear me? I've been doing it but I give me one each other meet. Yes, it's the wall. You hear the wall. And he just he just winks.

Speaker 12

Dillis is confused, but okay.

Speaker 7

Why do I suddenly feel like I don't need no education? Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 6

Well, okay, listen, I'm sure you want to know why we pulled you out. Like part of it was, yes, to keep you from suffering a torturous death at the hand of monstrous whores. However, there's more to it than that.

Speaker 11

So you don't like us.

Speaker 6

Oh, I like you just fine. Yeah, no, you're great. But uh well, I'm sure you know as well as I do, the three of you, uh, your home, Demora, is in danger. Right? Do you know that?

Speaker 2

Um, can we get an update on Um I'm gonna guess bad. How much time has passed since we've been gone? Oh well, okay.

Speaker 6

Let me let oh hold okay, let me get to that. There's no way to prevent the damage that's been done since you left. In every permutation of every timeline where there is at least some hope of victory, over 75% of Demora has been devastated. In those timelines, the only way to save as much as we can requires the four of you to survive the fall and rally what's left to defend your home. That's the crux of it.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker 6

Big shoes to fill, I know, but that that's where it lands.

Speaker 12

I was hoping for some pretty sightseeing, maybe some experiences.

Speaker 6

Well, listen, if it were up to me, I'd handle it to myself, but we're not allowed to interfere directly. It has to be you. Because there's no one else it could be. We don't have any other options.

Speaker 4

What has devastated our homeland? Is it the revenants?

Speaker 6

The revenants? The Ezekron, the spider queen, she pretty much wiped out the dwarves and took over the under realms. Golan's found a way to get to the material plane and and he's started the process. He's not there yet, but negative energy coming from their plane is already affecting tomorrow. And there is something else. You all spent three weeks in KMA, right? Give or take. Yeah. Well, for tomorrow, it's been about twenty years. Shit. Oh wow. I knew we were gonna have some time dilation shit. That was always one of the big problems I had with Natanya isolating her plane like that. It kept her people safer, but it cut her off from the origin as well. Without any links to the other planes to keep it in place, it just kept drifting farther and farther. Now now the time differential's so bad. One day in KMA is equal to almost a year in the material plane.

Speaker 12

Sondelos is like twenty thousand years. Now it makes sense why the clock works here.

Speaker 6

All I can say is the world you knew doesn't exist anymore. What about our families? Well, people do survive twenty years, but passage of time can't be avoided.

Speaker 7

Okay, do what I need to make a roll in this moment to just recognize that I'm no longer a twin.

Speaker 6

You could roll insight, yeah, to kind of think about like the ramifications of what are you saying, yeah.

Speaker 7

Twenty four.

Speaker 6

Yeah, um, so for the rest of the party, they don't really think of time in the way that a human does. Your your family has moved up like a generation. So, yeah, you're no longer the same. Age as your twin, so your twin is now your older brother. So you are twenty-eight, he is forty-eight.

Speaker 7

Do I need to roll for a mental breakdown?

Speaker 6

Because that's gonna be some buffer. Yeah, I mean that is a huge change.

Speaker 7

I mean that that that's that's the conscious thing to do is to is to like pray in the moment.

Speaker 6

I think she's gotta do like like nervous hands or something. Like handshaking and kind of just yeah.

Speaker 7

And like and like physically separate herself from the group. Because as it's just kind of like coming in waves, and the intellect and the headband is fucking with her now. Because what should have taken a while, like she would have been functional for a while before that really hit.

Speaker 6

She doesn't have a choice as to how quickly understanding fully dawns. Yeah, and and the helm doesn't really have a filter on it, so it just gives you raw information.

Speaker 7

And here's and here's exactly how old everyone is gonna be if they live. Like that keeps repeating over and over.

Speaker 6

If if and so she just like is over in the corner, just like I wanna go home, but since since KMO's connection to the other planes is restored, that time differential will eventually normalize, but for now. But we can't go back. Yeah, traveling there is gonna be a costly choice. I I know this is a lot to take in, I'm sorry. Things are gonna be a lot different than you remember. You're you're welcome to take a minute to adjust if you need but we do need to get you back as soon as possible.

Speaker 7

Is time still passing there, like even while we're here.

Speaker 6

Right here. Time doesn't flow. At the origin, time doesn't really move. That's we had to make some adjustments adjustments so you could function here. But we will have to return you to the point that you would have left from. So you will be going back 20 years in the future.

Speaker 2

Uh can I can Lunette take a moment to try and reach out to see if uh Tadoth is still in her head?

Speaker 1

Ooh. And I ca concept I had not considered at all. Oh, yeah. Oh yes, sure.

Speaker 6

Um so the way we do this is you can pick wisdom, intelligence, or charisma and roll a check on that. You always choose intelligence, but I always give you the options just in case.

Speaker 2

One day I'll get more numbers and the answer might change. That's a 20.

Speaker 6

Like a dirty 20?

Speaker 2

Uh yeah, dirty 20. Should have said, should have lied.

Speaker 6

It was a nat 20, sure.

Speaker 2

It's a nat it's a 23 because of the I actually used my dexterity and it's a 23.

unknown

No.

Speaker 6

I stretched and I achieved like karmic ascension, and I have anyway.

Speaker 2

You ever pop your back real good?

Speaker 6

Yeah. So you reach out trying to talk to specifically Tadoth.

Speaker 2

Yes.

Speaker 6

You get an echo. Not an answer, but it's more like the connection is still there. You're just not getting a response, but you know the connection is there.

unknown

Okay.

Speaker 6

Nobody is answering, but it didn't just go, do do do. This number didn't have dabdoo.

Speaker 2

So Lunette.

Speaker 7

Thank you for calling the Tadoth Holland.

Speaker 2

Lynette is just kind of like rubbing her face, just kind of like, of course, of course, of course, weird, crazy, insane shit happens, and he doesn't answer, of course, because that's exactly what he would do. Okay.

Speaker 6

Alright, well, uh Horace will kind of gesture. Alright, if I can get you to just stand in that circle there. And he's pointing over to literally the only uncluttered spot in the room. Uh there's a large circular platform kind of up like about a foot off the ground. Just uh step up there and stay still for me. Now, just uh look out for each other. Try not to die, and everything will be fine. Good luck out there. And he snaps his fingers. Oh jeez. And you all vanish.

Speaker 7

Hoping each other.

Speaker 12

I feel like I should have emboldening bondage for TARDIS noises.

Speaker 6

Like immediately, like, yeah, it's a chance to TARDIS noise and quantum leaps. Well, funny you mentioned that. There is no rush of wind or water. Nothing to indicate that you move through a portal. What there is is a snap, kind of like the sound of a tree cracking, and you appear a hundred feet off the ground in midair.

Speaker 11

Okay.

Speaker 6

Uh, if I can get a little bit of foleywork from y'all, can I get the sound of y'all falling for literally 2.5 seconds because I fucking Googled it? You do like a one-on-three? Yeah, totally. One, two, three. Thank you. Excellent. So I think it'd be hilarious if Dailas was spent that time trying to figure out how to rage because he doesn't remember in the moment.

Speaker 2

He's like, he's like muffled, like, oh my god, this has never happened before.

Speaker 6

What do I do?

Speaker 2

Dailus does not spend much time above oh my god, oh my goddess.

Speaker 6

So you all fall for, like I said, roughly two and a half seconds. And then you start slowing. Until you're about a foot off the air, off the ground in the air, and you stop. Okay, then I feel like if there's a there's like a sudden arrest that's ah we're hovering. And then you fall to the ground in a cloud of dust. So here you are. You're kind of in the middle of some foothills. Okay. But as far as you know, this is Demora. You could make a survival to check to kind of figure out where you're at. I got a 16 on survival.

Speaker 2

I got a natural one, actually, which is really unfortunate because I am uh proficient in the who you got you got.

Speaker 6

Twelve uh a survival check.

Speaker 12

Oh, okay. 27, yeah.

Speaker 6

Okay, cool. All of the survival. I got a 16. Yeah, I got a one.

Speaker 12

I did not roll.

Speaker 6

Yeah, you have no idea. Yeah, you so yeah, Lunette and Delos have no idea.

Speaker 2

I feel I feel like uh Delos landed on Lunette, and that's why she doesn't have to be. She's otherwise occupied.

Speaker 6

Like a deck saving through or constitutions. Like Delos landed on your metal arm and it just it doesn't hurt, but you're just like, get the get off.

Speaker 1

It's off. It's just like, please, oh.

Speaker 6

Uh but yeah, so totally moved the microphone. Yes, and the two of you, uh Genova and Venaria, you all realize that you are in the foothills of the Baledune Mountains, southwest of what was once the city of Ogun in Faxia. There's no knowing if that town is or that city is still there, if Horace is to be believed, but that is the area in which you find yourself. The air is humid and sticky under an overcast sky, so pretty much springtime, carrying a fetid odor with it as it drifts across the open field that you stand in. I was about to be like, There's a fetid ogre just like, oh, I need a bath. No, I'd be being no iron is that the wind is carrying a fetid ogre so it's not unhorn. Just sailing through the sky.

Speaker 2

It's just drifting along like a plastic bag playing.

Speaker 6

Just like it's dancing.

Speaker 12

How do I turn this shit off? Fetid odor.

Speaker 6

Uh but yes, a fetid odor is being carried across the open field that you stand in. Uh, it does feel to be somewhere in late spring or summer. There are green, technically, things growing around you. That is a horrific sentence. Technically, the technically is what's getting me. Well, everything's kind of grayed out a little bit. Like the color's kind of been drained from the world. Everybody is welcome to make a perception check. I'm sure it also. Even you, Delos.

Speaker 2

I'm sure it also feels that way because we spent so much time in KM over everything. There's also that, yeah. Especially for me and Genova, it all felt very like bright and alive.

Speaker 6

We're now in like a like a 4K world. Like, yeah, you you went from like a Van Gogh painting to you know like like um actually outside. Actually outside, yeah. And it's it's just not impressive.

Speaker 2

You said it was perception?

Speaker 6

Perception. Okay, it was a fine. 19.

Speaker 2

Me too.

Speaker 6

Okay.

Speaker 4

22.

Speaker 6

Good.

Speaker 4

18.

Speaker 6

18. Excellent. So you all will notice there is a distinct silence around you. Like when you're out in nature, there's usually a little bit of noise, you know, like bugs and birds and stuff. There's there's nothing. It is dead silent out here. Binari was actually like looking forward to like hearing some living shit, especially after the Clockwork City and then the dead uh techno drum. Um well, funny you mentioned that. Because of all this silence, what you do here is kind of scraping unsteady footfalls, kind of tromping through the brush on the other side of the nearest rise.

Speaker 3

I don't like that.

Speaker 6

I got the hammer out, I'm on cam- I'm ready to kill something or kill it again if it's again situation.

Speaker 7

Um there's something not right here, and there's something we need to kill probably close by.

Speaker 4

So are there any trees nearby?

Speaker 6

Um you are in the foothills of some mountains. Like there there are trees here and there, but not like a forest. It's it's pretty open.

Speaker 4

Okay, because I was gonna like I was thinking of like asking one.

Speaker 6

I mean, there's if you need to talk to a tree, yeah, there's there's one you can you can talk to nearby.

Speaker 4

Okay. Can uh can I ask a tree what is happening here?

Speaker 6

So trees in growing with other trees kind of communicate to each other through kind of those root networks, right? Um but it's not like they're speaking. What you what you get through there is kind of messages communicating ideas. What you're getting from the tree is death and danger.

Speaker 12

Danger, danger, danger, death.

Speaker 4

Oh joy. Uh we need to try to carefully. There's a lot of death and danger here.

Speaker 2

Oh joy. Uh can I send I forgot to mention that my familiar hoonie is a uh he is a winged rabbit, also known as in like I think it's Scandinavian folktale as a skediver.

Speaker 1

Yes.

Speaker 2

So uh I'm sending him can I send him to like fly out that way and you sure can. Okay. What do I have to roll for that?

Speaker 6

Uh well I mean you can just have him do it, but are you having him like stealthy or anything? Or are you just being a flying bunny into this open field? Look, a flying bunny.

Speaker 2

See, when you say it like that, it always predates something atrocious.

Speaker 7

So the idea there is to say yes, he's being stealthy.

Speaker 2

Yes. He's like, I would like him to be stealthy and try and stick kind of like uh blend with the clouds. Do his best to like kind of like blend in, uh, just looking for you don't mind me.

Speaker

I'm just I'm just a little flying bunny.

Speaker 2

I'm just a little cloud. I'm here, I'm normal, this is normal. I'm average fauna for this area.

Speaker 6

So let's roll uh stealth. For the hoon. For the hood.

Speaker 12

Do you know what hoonie's dat block looks like?

Speaker 6

I believe Dex. But I would also assume that a rabbit probably can roll roll with advantage.

Speaker 2

I I challenge you to come chase my rabbit hoon my real rabbit hoonigan at home. Roll with advantage. I am I am not a good one.

Speaker 6

I just told you yeah, I was like, why are you arguing with advantage?

Speaker 2

Uh that's an 18.

Speaker 6

Go for the crit. Even that's a nine. That's a nine. So eighteen. Okay, yes. So stealthy bunny goes and what what are you doing specifically?

Speaker 2

Uh just looking for what the source of that noise.

Speaker 6

Excellent. So um yeah, Hooney will will scurry along the ground, you know, doing doing quiet, like, hey, I'm a little prey animal. I'm gonna be quiet going through the brush. And what Hoonie sees is a zombie. It's gross. Kind of stumbling along by itself. Its jaw hangs awkwardly as it's stumbling along. Uh it's got one ruined leg that's dragging behind it. And it stops for a moment, looking up at the overcast sky, and it groans quietly. It appears calm, kept at peace with the world around it. And as you look on, a misshapen fleshy humanoid charges from behind and slams into the zombie, knocking it to the ground before the hulking thing slams it with masses' fists, leaving behind a crumpled, motionless mess. It then reaches down and scoops up the wrecked zombie and kind of presses it against its middle. And you watch as the zombie gets absorbed into it entirely.

Speaker 2

Fantastic. Does everybody see this, or is it just me through Hooney Vision?

Speaker 6

Unless other people are going up that rise and it's just Hooney.

Speaker 2

Yeah, so uh Lunette just kind of like rubs her eyes, like blinks up, like, oh my god. Uh so. Dillas, you weren't here. Y'all remember Chunk Basement?

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 4

Oh yeah, that was such a bright that was that was perhaps describe this for listeners at home who maybe don't know what the hell that means.

Speaker 7

We were we were Venaria had to mercy kill a blob of reanimated flesh basement.

Speaker 2

Listen, let me let me spin out let me spin let me spin a yarn. So we were given a task to go check out a village because weird stuff was happening. We go. Entire village is empty, there's dead bodies in places. Not great. We see a house that's left standing. We there's like a blood trail leading into the house. Of course we have to do our job, so we go and we examine the house. There is a blood trail leading down to the basement. We go down into the basement. One of us at the time did not have dark vision, so only one of us did not see what is chunk basement. Brandon, please. Uh it was it was a uh imagine what you think a cultist lair would kind of look like. Candles, bits of bone, and like a just like a like a lump on the floor. A thing, a creature, if you will. A chunk even. Uh it started to like move. It's just a wad. Yeah, it's just a meatwad. It was awful lunch baggage. I don't remember how it starts for. So uh we had to mercy kill like Venar had to mercy kill that. And then when we left, all the zombies were up and walking and mad at us. So it is, I can only assume, some horrible, atrocious homunculus of flesh. Okay, so you have experience with chunks, and this seems to be one.

Speaker 12

Yeah. Yes. It's like um the flesh mobs from Helldivers.

Speaker

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 12

You know what I'm saying? A little bit. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We have fun here.

Speaker 7

Like let us know before we charge over the rise or we charge over the rise.

Speaker 2

I was trying to tell you that. Uh so Lunette, like, again, rubs her eyes, kind of like blinks, like she's trying to get it out of her like out of her mind's eye. You remember the thing in the basement from like god, forever ago? What's everybody's passive perception? 17. I knew what you were doing. Eleven. Eleven.

Speaker 7

In Soviet Russia, the rise comes to you.

Speaker 2

Sorry, I had.

Speaker 6

So yeah, pretty much pretty much everybody has rolled a two. Uh you all hear something thudding up behind you. The wall has been formed.

Speaker 12

Um so what is that?

Speaker 2

Quickly.

Speaker 6

That's a thing.

Speaker 7

It's a th it's a That's a thing we need to kill again.

Speaker 2

I don't remember what it was called. Um homunculous? Not good.

Speaker 5

Venaris like, it's a thing I'm gonna kill next, and I'd like to roll initiative as an action.

Speaker 2

Something approaches.

Speaker 6

You'd like to roll initiative as an action. Is that what you said? She's fucking ready at this point.

Speaker 5

Like, she's like, forget processing, let's do some action thing.

Speaker 6

Okay. So uh well, just tell me what you're doing. I'm charging the thing. Okay.

Speaker 5

So hopefully in line with Dalos to be like, okay, get the wall between us.

Speaker 12

Dalos is holding the line. Whatever that means.

Speaker 6

I mean, it is coming towards us, so that yeah, just kind of like form up.

Speaker 12

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6

Okay. With Delos and uh roll roll roll a dexterity check for me. Oh shit.

Speaker 12

Both of us?

Speaker 6

No, just just Binario, the person who was coming up. So the purpose of that role is you were both kind of coming up with a rise at the same time, and as you were running up, it kind of caught you with a shove and pushed you back down. But now we can start initiative, yes. Everybody, roll initiative! Yes, what you see coming over that rise is this vaguely humanoid, awful flesh monstrosity with limbs just kind of sticking out of one shoulder and a lot of teeth and bits of bone. It is generally a horrific thing with uh its skull exposed. So, excellent. First up, we have a Genova.

Speaker 4

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 6

With a 23. Fucking map, fucking map, yeah.

Speaker 4

Alright, so since I'm going first here, I guess, you know, this thing is an abomination. Burn it with fire. Alright.

Speaker 7

Oh, and you do get the thing where if your your spirits out, your fire your fire spells do more damage. Which one do you want to hit him with?

Speaker 4

Flame strike.

unknown

Shit.

Speaker 6

You're going right to the whole way up.

Speaker 4

Because otherwise, once we get close to them, you know, I don't want I don't want to send anybody.

Speaker 6

That's yeah, that's very good. Plus, I mean, if you have flame strike, it's always good. Okay. So uh can you read the spell description for us?

Speaker 4

Okay, flame strike. A vertical column of divine fire roars down from the heavens in a location that I specify, which is going to be right on the ugly mofo. Each creature in a 10-foot radius, 40-foot high cylinder centered on a point within range must make a dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 4d6 fire damage and 4d6 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Speaker 6

What what is your save? He rolled remarkably high.

Speaker 7

Make sure you factor your staff into that.

Speaker 4

Okay. So 15 plus 2, 17.

Speaker 6

Believe it or not, this big ass motherfucker actually succeeded on that. He rolled an 18. We can't. So you still know the damage. He takes damage.

Speaker 11

We gotta get a bar.

unknown

Okay.

Speaker 6

Yes, so I gave you that block of D6s for this. Because I had a feeling you were gonna use that spell. Eight of them. Eight.

Speaker 12

We'll do quick maths. Math rocks, let's go. 24. And then roll them again. 40, 45, 50, 52. So 26.

Speaker 6

So 52 total. So yeah, he takes 26 of that because he saved.

Speaker 7

Now is that is there an addition on that because of the wildfire spirit being out? Okay, so you're gonna roll you're gonna roll an additional at d8.

Speaker 12

Seven. It's 19 points of fire damage and 12 points of radiance damage.

Speaker 6

Okay, so so the way the way this works is you start it up and it can kind of sense the heat starting to rise, and it kind of goes and tries to get out of the way, but still gets hit. And it immediately starts kind of freaking out, just shaking the arm that's that's on fire now.

Speaker 1

Uh but yeah, good good hit on you. Good well. Thank you, thank you. Very good.

Speaker 7

Okay, and then um your Wi-Fi spirit has their turn exhibiting. Immediately after, yep. So he can make his little flame strike.

Speaker 12

Oh, that's a natural twin.

Speaker 7

Ooh! Heck yeah. Okay, so he's got a D6. Plus your proficiency on it is four. So it's gonna be plus ten damage.

Speaker 12

Another six. So six.

Speaker 6

Nice. Okay.

Speaker 5

I just like this space laser and then like BB gun.

Speaker 6

Like well themed. So yeah, it continues to freak out. Yep.

Speaker 4

Let's name you little fire otter. Well done.

Speaker 6

Excellent. So that was Jenova. Now we have Hooney.

Speaker 2

Who goes next after Huni?

Speaker 6

Ma.

Speaker 2

Okay, then I will have Hoonigan give uh Venaria the help action.

Speaker 6

Excellent. So Venaria.

Speaker 7

She's gonna charge forward with.

Speaker 12

And you are still within 30 feet, and so you get a plus one or plus one D4.

Speaker 5

With advantage. Um I can I can use my bonus action after my main action, so I'm just gonna wail in the fucker. That's a shit roll. Okay. Uh but it's with it's with my plus ten magic weapon, so that's a dirty 20.

Speaker 6

Excellent, that hits. And so there's- Wait, roll again.

Speaker 5

No, I roll I rolled both of them at the same time.

Speaker 10

Okay, okay.

Speaker 5

It was a seven and an eight. Okay. But fortunately I will.

Speaker 11

Okay, the eight's even better.

Speaker 7

I'm gonna second level smite. Okay. Is he immune to poison damage? Yes. Okay, so we're gonna remove one of those because for the hammer. Regular damage is 15 bludgeoning.

Speaker 6

Um, and then uh 17 radiant damage. Okay. 32 total there.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 6

Then I'm gonna swing again.

Speaker 1

Now remember we're narrowing what we're doing now.

Speaker 7

22 to hit on second attack. That is. Go ahead and do a first little sm smite there.

Speaker 12

I'm trying to lop his arm off right now.

Speaker 5

I'm just trying to- I'm trying to annihilate this pile of shit.

Speaker 12

You're trying you're aiming for the exposed skull to lower my. I got reach.

Speaker 7

So that is uh 14 points of bludgeoning damage and seven points of radiant damage. And then I'm gonna use my bonus action to shift. So I gain seven temporary hit points. And I will attack as part of that. I'm gonna bite- I'm gonna bite the flesh wad. Okay. Because that's a sentence. Uh 19 to hit. That does hit. Okay. Because if you can do it three times in a turn, you should do it three times in a turn. And then I'm also gonna make this a distracting strike to add another d6 on there. Okay, five points of piercing damage and oh wait, uh, nine points of piercing damage because I'm not strength. And then ten points of radiant damage, and then the next attack against him is gonna be with advantage. Excellent.

Speaker 12

So essentially you like you're like stab him, slash him. Okay, now smack him with the blade flat of your blade to get him to look away first. That's to really piss him off. Just yeah, you you're just like uh you are my punching back then.

Speaker 6

You just did three hits. Yeah. What did you what did you do? Like like tell us the story of your three hits.

Speaker 7

So if he's that much taller than me, I'm trying to take out what looks like a kneecap, even though it's probably just a um so first one is to is to what I think is a knee.

Speaker 6

Second one, I actually like like let the kind of choke down on the hammer, on the hammer shaft, to get the maximum reach as I'm like trying to go for the head. Really grip the shaft while you're going for the head. Oh god. Yeah. Yep.

Speaker 2

Oh god.

Speaker 7

You gotta grip the shaft while you're giving head. Yeah.

Speaker 6

Uh probably it's probably she's probably not tall enough to actually reach the exposed skull, so that's gonna kind of it's still it's still like cre like crashes through, and there's probably sounds of breaking bones. Well, as as you're hitting this, the so you you know like it it is taking these hits. But the it's basically just like hitting lumps of meat over and over and over. So it's like you know you're doing damage to it, but it's like it's doesn't yeah, it's just it's squish. It's just okay.

Speaker 5

Uh then for the uh the last for the for the bite attack, she kinda like if if if he was in any other kind of mental state, she would hesitate.

Speaker 7

But right now she's like, no, take a chunk. Uh so she's gonna lunge, she lunges in, just like I feel like she would like find an exposed rib cage and just like fasten onto that and jerk it out with her teeth.

Speaker 6

Yeah, no, you you manage to get like a whole rib and and and pull it out, and it just it it is cartilage crunching. Yeah, cartilage crunching. It smells like rotting meat.

Speaker 7

Well, and she does she does the full like dog like she doesn't like like she's not playing fetch. She she crabs it, does the like the the big head movement tear, and then spits it out in the same motion.

Speaker 6

Now there's this arc of just like sludge. Yeah, just sludgy. Oh, and she's trans. Oh, that's the thing.

Speaker 7

She shifted, so y'all see the the the fur rise from her collar and like covers over her her face.

Speaker 6

And so it is it is a wolf's head that is like white wolf form. Yes. Yeah, since since she uh had that contact with Steja. Excellent. Okay, cool. Yeah, you you you just you you just wailed on this thing and got a mouthful of really gross meat.

Speaker 5

Not for the first time.

Speaker 6

Uh it is well, it is now the creature's turn. Come on, believe it or not. And it so it is very unhappy about the fire, but as you're watching it, like the parts that you bit off, the parts that you hit, they're not healing, but parts are kind of rearranging themselves to like make up for the parts that are being hit and and mulched and stuff like that. It's like it's rebuilding itself and it's going to regain 20 hit points. Shit.

Speaker 10

Yes. Glad we did like 70.

Speaker 6

So yeah, and it and it is it is like roaring like a wild animal about the fire. It is very unhappy about that, but you also just hit it for a lot. So it levels, it's got like the the orbs of its eyes are still there, but they're like completely red. And it's basically glaring at you as best it can without actually having a face. And it's going to hit at you, believe it or not. Let's see.

Speaker 1

So that's going to be that's a 24 to hit it's. Yeah. And I need that and that.

Speaker 12

We have a collection of dice. Yeah, I was gonna say.

Speaker 1

I have to gather dice. Four!

Speaker 6

More damage than that's gonna be 5, 10, 17, 24 damage. Bludgeoning damage.

Speaker 7

Taking out takes out the 10 pit points, but that means I only take 14 damage.

Speaker 1

Okay, I'm gonna hit you again.

Speaker 7

Of course.

Speaker 1

And that's going to be 19 to hit. Okay.

Speaker 5

We gotta find somebody who's making armor, because damn. Level 10 in chain, yeah.

Speaker 6

That's 11, 12, 19 bludgeoning damage. And then with this last one, the the last two has just been kind of like just throwing its limbs at you. This last one, it levels kind of you you can see one of its arms is very thorny. It kind of ranges itself so that it's pointing that spiky shoulder at you and it rushes you.

Speaker 2

What? You don't like that. Not a fan? Not a fan of getting chished above.

Speaker 6

Yeah, 15 of these.

unknown

20.

Speaker 6

So that is 12 piercing damage. No, pardon me. That's that's 12 bludgeoning damage. And then 10 piercing damage as it gores you with its spiky shoulder.

Speaker 5

So, uh that will be Venaria just takes it and then stares up. Is that all you got?

Speaker 2

It's very much like you're not sounds like a moose.

Speaker 5

A little bit like a moose.

Speaker 6

Someone in the back is like, oh god, the mating call.

Speaker 2

Somewhere a deer is very confused.

Speaker 6

Yeah. Like, I ain't going near that. No.

Speaker 4

Yeah, I'm like, yeah, that's that was a mating call.

Speaker 6

Yeah, this this creature has some deer in him. Unfortunate. What the shit?

Speaker 2

What the hell is that?

Speaker 6

So we are now brought to Lunette.

Speaker 2

I am going to take my light crossbow. I don't have sneak attack because I'm not behind him.

Speaker 7

You absolutely do have sneak attack because I I just distracting stroke him. Whoa, that sounds weird. Hello. Hello. I just want to try that shit again.

Speaker 6

Your attack has advantage, therefore we'll have sneak attack if you have it.

Speaker 2

At 155, inappropriate shit happened.

Speaker 5

Really? It took that long? I heard something. There's something about stroking meat and heads and shit earlier.

Speaker 2

I'm just gonna write bad under that for the notes. Uh let's see. I'm gonna take my light crossbow, and since I have sneak attack, which is awesome. It's 46 for my sneak attack plus steady aim to get advantage. The joint of the thing. I did! It was a seven.

Speaker 6

Okay, so add it up.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 6

You add things to this roll. Yes. What was your other roll?

Speaker 2

I'm trying. Uh it was a six. So seven is what you're working with. So it was nineteen? Yes.

Speaker 1

Yes, that hits.

Speaker 2

Oh, thank god. From a seven to a nineteen. Everything with eye powers combined. Okay, so it does hit, so I need four d6. And then a d8.

Speaker 6

Is any of this magic?

Speaker 2

No.

Speaker 6

The answer the correct answer is. I'm going to keep you from wasting time rolling. The bolt hits him and does absolutely nothing.

Speaker 2

Okay, cool. Fun.

Speaker 5

So for your bonus action, maybe like Shadowblade or something for later, but.

Speaker 2

So yeah, uh, I will cast Shadowblade onto uh I guess my prosthetic arm because it has the the pointed the pointed fingers.

Speaker 6

No, that's like a great scene too, because like you fire the crossbow and it just kind of like sinks into the meat and you don't even react and you're like, okay, fine. Shadow blade.

Speaker 2

So that happens, Lunette, just like you just see like her shoulders kind of like drop, or she's just like, oh my god.

Speaker 6

Like nothing can be easy.

Speaker 2

She's like, we can't have shit in Detroit. Can't have shit in Tamora and then cast Shadow Blade on her prosthetic arm.

Speaker 6

That's awesome. Alright. Very good. So that was Lunette. That brings it to Daylow's. Oh god. Honorary meat bag.

Speaker 9

Honorary meat bag. Okay. Um I am going to.

Speaker 7

I feel the need to use my hammer. No, I'm not gonna use my hammer.

Speaker 12

I'm gonna cast spirit guardians. Oh! I am within 15 feet.

unknown

Yes.

Speaker 12

I believe. I was I was trying to make sure that that was right. That I'm close enough to them, but close enough to you guys. Um and that is gonna do a 15-foot radius around me.

Speaker 7

Um, and you're also within 10 feet of me, so the aura goes.

Speaker 12

Mm-hmm. Uh so I call forth spirits to protect me. They flit around, they look angelic, kind of fay because of You should you should make them look like the drones from the source.

Speaker 5

Oh, my Unionized Brothers. Rise, comrades. Well origin drones. Heck yeah.

Speaker 2

You say origin drones, and I just keep thinking of like those like Amazon drones. Just summons a fleet of spectral Amazon drones.

Speaker 12

It it's the chronosphere drones, but with fairy wings instead of mechanical wings. Nice. Um and they kind of flit around me. All of you are unaffected by this, but they're kind of like dancing around in a little cloud. Exactly. They're happy.

Speaker 6

They're all copies of the of the the center spirit.

Speaker 12

Yeah, I'm the center of the universe. Um and then you guys or and then he will have his action or his movement halved, and whenever it enters the area, it needs to make a wisdom saving threat. Uh it'll take three eight radiant damage or half as much of a successful. Uh enters or starts. Like it depends. It enters the first time on a turn or starts its turn there. So right now and when it starts its start.

Speaker 1

Making sure the wording wasn't gonna be a bitch. Ech wisdom saves.

Speaker 12

Ech wisdom.

Speaker 1

Oh, I don't think he did.

Speaker 12

That's a 15.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I'm trying to write.

Speaker 6

I think he's got a negative.

Speaker 12

Perfect.

Speaker 6

No, he doesn't. Wisdom heated. He has plus zero. He rolled a fifteen.

Speaker 12

Oh, then you succeeded. So uh can I Are we back to his turn already?

Speaker 5

It's good. Well he has entered because it just got cast.

Speaker 12

Yeah. That is 19 radiant damage.

Speaker 1

So he takes half of that? Yes.

Speaker 12

So 10. 9 rounds down. And that is uh around me and for the for season.

Speaker 6

Okay, so you have summoned a cloud of ethereal chronosphere drones. I love it. I love it.

Speaker

Because they're just like these.

Speaker 12

They're like they're like big bees.

Speaker 6

Yes, exactly. Okay. That's fantastic.

Speaker 12

According to all known laws of aviation. Yeah. Oh my god, don't.

Speaker 2

But yeah.

Speaker 6

So they are brought back to Genova.

unknown

Okay.

Speaker 6

And it's right. You're seeing this meat guy. He's like, his body is moving around in weird ways, and he's waving around at the drones.

Speaker 8

Let's see. I'm just a big guy. Why am I picking on me? Just let me absorb you.

Speaker 2

And it's Madden he's like allergic to bees.

Speaker 8

I need an epic!

Speaker 12

Roll for anaphylaxis. One of the bodies that he's absorbed was allergic to bees, and so just that part is kind of stupid. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6

It's like just got like little little high. Was it just really red and just one? Yeah. I feel like his whole thing qualifies as a pustule. You're right.

Speaker 10

Man, I need cold bits.

Speaker 6

That means that you took a big bite out of a pustule.

Speaker 4

Yum.

Speaker 6

Worth it.

Speaker 4

Alright, meat chunk. Let's add some ice to that. Hi, meat chunk. Ice storm. Ah, nipples cold. Oh god.

Speaker 6

How many nipples does it have?

Speaker 5

The world may never know.

Speaker 2

Why is this a question?

Speaker 5

No, this is this is an argument out there. Let's find out. One. Not three.

Speaker 6

I don't remember painting any nipples, but she found them. Okay. Well he rolled. It's a deck save. Well, he rolled a six. Okay. So you got him. Alright.

Speaker 5

So we need the we need the cube of d6 instead.

Speaker 12

Oh uh thirteen. There already. Did he save the thing?

Speaker 5

Oh he rolled a six. Okay.

Speaker 1

Yeah, no, he didn't save.

Speaker 6

So how much how much damage total?

Speaker 12

13.

Speaker 6

13. Okay, so you hit him with, and this was this was Ice Blade. What was there? Ice or Ice Storm. Okay, so you do the Ice Storm. And and yeah, he's he's like kinda like involuntary trying to like shrink in and kind of like cover himself, but he's also a giant skin bag, so it's kind of hard to do that. Slide around skin bag.

Speaker 4

No.

Speaker 6

Excellent. Okay, so that brings it to Hoonie. What is Hoonie doing?

Speaker 2

Uh I guess give the help action to Venaria again. So that way she can do more damage.

Speaker 1

Let's make sure Hoonie is over there by Venaria. Yes. Yes. Closer.

Speaker 6

So anyway, sorry. Um that brings it to Venaria.

Speaker 7

Trying to figure out if I had a way to do fire damage, because I feel like that fucked him up last time more than anything else we did, but he didn't take more damage from it, but he was very unhappy that it happened.

unknown

Well.

Speaker 10

We send him into a rage, and then I get him to run away.

Speaker 7

I'm gonna bonus action cast Thunderous Smite. Okay. Do that with the advantage attack, see if that helps. Okay. 16 on the die for 26 to hit.

Speaker 1

Yes.

Speaker 7

Okay.

Speaker 1

This hits.

Speaker 7

So he's immune to poison, so that's not gonna do, but I do get two extra d6 from Thunderous Smite, and I'm going to second level Smite on top of that.

Speaker 6

This always reminds me of of like what it sounds like when somebody's playing Magic and they're like, this is the combo that I've been working on for four turns, and that's finally going off, and I'm gonna hit you for 3,000. That's how it always sounds when you're doing your attacks.

Speaker 12

I tap this land to then cast this, which then allows me to enter another land, and on upon entering land, all of my lands untap, and then I tap all of them again.

Speaker 6

Now your hit points are equal to the number of lands that you have, and I destroy all of your lands. You are now done. Okay, so that hit.

Speaker 2

And then I send you to God.

Speaker 6

So, okay, let's do let's let's do damage, and then he's gotta make a strength save. So if you want to go ahead and roll the save. Um a number. That is that is twenty one.

Speaker 7

Okay, so he made the save, so he's not knocked prone.

Speaker 5

Um he does take 17 points of bludgeoning damage, nine points of thunder damage, and there's also a thunder clap as this comes through, so I feel like she just like cla just plows this hammer through the leg that is now reformed in front of her. Nice.

Speaker 6

Um, and then 17 points of radiant damage. So what is that all total? Okay. You set a bunch of number clubs. I had it divided up because there's a spell and there's a weapon and shit. Um it's all coming from a magical source, right? Yes. Okay, then yeah, it's fine.

Speaker 7

Okay, so 17, 19, 23, 30, okay, 40 damage overall. Okay. For my first attack.

Speaker 5

Second attack was a 23 to hit. That is. So this is going for the other leg. So the like the huge hit with the thunder damage, and really just annihilated one. Let's go ahead and do a smite on that one as well. 24 points of damage on the second attack. Okay. Okay. So you should basically just kneecap, kneecap, or what passes for them on blocking flash.

Speaker 6

I mean, yeah, you kind of got these columns that act like legs, and yeah, you hit them a couple of times, and the hammer goes through, kind of severing the parts that are his legs, and then it lands on top of that mass, and they kind of absorb back in. And then it regains its height. Yeah, so you yeah, you you do your damage, but it's it's kind of, as you've seen so far, able to kind of rearrange itself. Yeah. Um, and then it does go into its turn, and it will then I should have been re-rolling ones this whole fucking time because I've a fan style. Uh you've just been off your ga your game. You just found out like you're not a twin anymore, stuff. Yeah, so. Also, I've still been hitting really fucking hard. It's just that yes. But he regains 20 hit points.

Speaker 5

And I feel like Venari's taking that personal now.

Speaker 6

Motherfucker. Yeah, it's like you've been wailing on it and he keeps just kind of lumbering back up. Oh yeah. So what spiritual guardians, is that like an ongoing thing? He's still in the street.

Speaker 12

On the top of his turn, yes.

Speaker 6

Okay, so he needs to make a save.

Speaker 1

That's a nat 20.

Speaker 12

Okay. Uh, how do you do um critical saves?

Speaker 6

I feel like we've been doing critical saves. Nah, yeah, not not for this kind of thing. No. Cool. But you just save the case.

Speaker 12

14. Uh, so seven.

Speaker 6

Excellent, okay.

Speaker 12

Radiant damage. That's right.

Speaker 6

Yeah, I guess in his term, he's kind of like reforming himself and swatting at little drones as they fly around. But what he's actually going to do is he's gonna try and shove Venaria. Uh, so that's gonna be a contested strength save versus either strength or or I'm sorry, athletics or acrobatics. So he rolled a 25. Okay.

Speaker 7

Uh 13 on the die, so and I have proficiency. 13, 17, 21.

Speaker 6

He will shove you back prone. How far is it? So is he shoving me prone right there or is my left? Yeah, yeah, it's e it's either shoves you back five feet or prone. So you're just gonna go prone in the spot where you are. And then he is going to look at Dalos, and he's going to lower that arm down and he's going to charge at you.

Speaker 10

Yay.

Speaker 6

With that, he moved far enough to get his charge ability.

Speaker 12

Yay.

Speaker 6

So he is going to uh attack with his gore attack. Yay. It's like it's like like in the midst of all this mass, like a bull's head emerges. It's it's weird watching him move because you look at his structure and you think of the way like that kind of body should be moving, and it doesn't move that way. He kind of like moves his arm and his shoulder rhymes overward. Yeah, and like bone spurs and teeth and spikes kind of grow out and shift around, and he levels that at you. That's a 28 to hit.

Speaker 9

Yeah, that hits.

Speaker 6

So he gives it. Believe it or not.

Speaker 1

That is 2d8 piercing, 2d10 bludgeoning, and then an additional 2d8, 2d10 bludgeoning.

Speaker 6

Additional 2d. Or start guiding bolt every turn. Yeah. You need to die fast. So 2d8 piercing and 4d 10 bludgeoning total. That's gonna be 10, 16, 19, 28, uh bludgeoning damage.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker 6

And then 12 piercing damage.

Speaker 11

Okay. Okay.

Speaker 6

And then he's gonna hit you. Sounds good. And then the regular attack. Oh, wait, no, that's right. You need to make a strength save.

Speaker 12

I got you. Okay. Uh that is a 34?

Speaker 6

Yes. 24.

Speaker 12

Yeah, so it's 27. Sorry, it's 27.

Speaker 6

Uh, yes, it does save. So you are not then not prone.

Speaker 12

I am proficient in this.

Speaker 6

Yeah, it's like a wall and you just kind of go, oh, I'm the wall.

Speaker 12

Yeah, sorry, 27 though.

Speaker 6

Uh yeah, no, you do save, but you do take that chunk of damage. And uh when he hits you expecting you to fall over, and then you don't, you go, oh.

Speaker 3

Okay.

Speaker 6

It's like, what do you mean? You don't you don't get to excuse me. Oh, that's a 15 to hit.

Speaker 12

That misses.

Speaker 6

Yeah, so yeah, he was so frustrated that that you did not succumb and and he he misses on that second hit.

Speaker 12

Just kind of slightly steps out.

Speaker 6

He's like, oh, you're gross. Don't touch. Please no. Um, okay. That will bring it to Lunette.

Speaker 2

Yes. I'm going to shoot him, or I guess stab instead.

Speaker 5

Stab.

Speaker 2

How many spaces is that in front of me?

Speaker 5

Well, you can throw your shadow blade and then just recast it. Or just actually I think you just throw it and it like comes back.

Speaker 2

Okay, well, I put shadow blade on my prosthetic arm.

Speaker 6

Yes.

Speaker 2

But I'm not close enough, which sucks.

Speaker 6

It has the throne property.

Speaker 2

Can't I can't throw my arm.

Speaker 6

You can throw your shadow blade.

Speaker 2

Oh, okay.

Speaker 6

Roll hold on. Roll inside.

Speaker 2

Fear, okay. Thank you.

Speaker 6

I love I love that that's what I have done as a DM. Roll inside instills fear in people. So you can just roll it.

Speaker 2

That's a 20 plus my wisdom, which is 21, and then I am proficient in 25. Yes.

Speaker 6

You have this feeling in your shoulder. You could. That you could absolutely throw your arm and it would come back. Yes.

Speaker 2

Uh fucking tad.

Speaker 6

It's like Cyberpunk Thor. I'm getting rid of this. Alright, alright. You may have been installed with a fucking rocket arm.

Speaker 2

Okay, fear and woe. Uh then I get I'll do that. Lunette will reach back and just throw her arm forward.

Speaker 5

It starts spinning like a circular sound.

Speaker 6

Like, if you if you recall a lot of the energy kind of involved in this is kind of purple in in color. And basically you you have purple fire that kind of emanates from like the different sections of your arm and they kind of separate out and form a a well, I guess you're using claws, so they kind of do like a knife hand and your arm your arm literally launches out of your shoulder.

Speaker 12

Launching arm, your larm.

Speaker 6

Your alarm. Yes. It's such a NASA way for the air alarm. We need we need someone to get out an alarm. Uh but yes, you you do a In fact, throw it.

Speaker 2

Thirteen.

Speaker 6

That does not hit.

Speaker 2

Damn it.

Speaker 6

But was fucking cool.

Speaker 2

It was.

Speaker 6

So I'm gonna let you have advantage on that. Okay. Reloading it. Because it's cool as hell and I want it to a 16.

Speaker 2

Please. That is a 19 plus four is a twenty-three, plus the nine is a uh that's a thirty-two.

Speaker 6

Fucking rule of cool.

Speaker 2

Yeah, we need a real nice here. Jesus Christ. Alright. 10, 16, 20, 28.

Speaker 6

Damage? 28 points is. Are you sure? You act like you're asking me if that's what I'm saying. It's 20, it's 28. I maybe I am.

Speaker 2

I'm not good at math. Elizabeth, please tell my attack this time. Okay, so it's 28 points of damage.

Speaker 6

That's excellent. So yeah, you fire your mechanical, awesome Eldritch robot arm thing, and it fires off and and pierces it through the shoulder and leaves a big hole that does close up, but it lurches back with the impact of it.

Speaker 12

He was cool as fuck. It was cool as fuck.

Speaker 6

Hell yeah. Okay. So that was Lunette. Now it's Delos.

Speaker 12

Oh. Um sorry, I got I got really early into that. Yeah.

Speaker 6

Right.

unknown

Racket.

Speaker 12

Yeah. What would you say a weapon of Natanya would be?

Speaker 6

Sword and shield. Then she's a sword and board.

Speaker 12

Then it is this ornate rose sword to pair with his shield.

Speaker 6

Hell yeah. We are going full fucking rose quartz.

Speaker 12

Um yes.

Speaker 6

Whatever.

Speaker 12

Uh and just just no next turn.

Speaker 6

Hell yeah. Like you you summon your spiritual weapon, it's like you get like a spectral, like a pink spectral sword and board setup, and a fucking skirt blooms out from your from your waist, and like you've got like little flower wreath.

Speaker 12

It's mainly for intimidation purposes. I know we'll probably deal enough damage, but yeah. Oh, it's awesome. Can I can I like no, I can't attack with it. Uh it requires a bonus effect. I'm trying to tank, and I need the damage resistance.

Speaker 6

I'm trying not to die over here. Okay, cool. So you are there, you you look awesome, and now it's Jenova's turn.

Speaker 4

Can I use my flame spirit to teleport Meat Chunk back 10 feet?

Speaker 7

Yeah, it's gonna go really well. Oh yeah. Yeah. Okay, fine. Okay, what's the hold up? I got I got I got an idea for some cool shit, and this would be Venara kind of in the back, like, mm-mm. Teleport me up, up, up, up, up, like up, up.

Speaker 5

I'll take the damage, but he's gonna take more damage if I if I drop. She's doing this from the ground like a baseball coach.

Speaker 12

Winkin, blinking.

Speaker 5

Oh, we all have to telepathic So telepathically from the ground, Venaria's gonna be like, get me above him.

Speaker 4

Alright, alright.

Speaker 12

I will uh Venaria starts like Oh, I named my Otter.

Speaker 4

His name is Fritter.

Speaker 12

Oh, Fritter!

Speaker 6

Oh, that's awesome.

Speaker 12

It's Jenova, then Hooney.

Speaker 6

Jenova, Hooney, then Venaria.

Speaker 4

Yeah, I will use uh produce flame. Okay.

Speaker 6

Excellent.

Speaker 4

And then on Fritter's turn off.

Speaker 7

Okay, so just roll to attack, we'll make a spell attack.

Speaker 12

That's another natural 20 from Genova. Oh wait, and you get plus max because it's plus twenty-four. Okay, that's uh 31, 33.

Speaker 1

Woo! Goodness gracious.

Speaker 6

Literally.

Speaker 12

It was nine.

Speaker 6

So what do you what so so narrate this? What do you do with this tremendously strong produce flame attack? Lady of the wildfire.

Speaker 4

Let it get nice and hot in my hands.

Speaker 1

I feel like the pick up a spicy meatball on the hands.

Speaker 4

Yeah. Yeah. Can I can feel it kind of boiling because I'm a water nymph. So as I'm producing this flame, I'm kind of boiling as I do it. Kind of like a floor.

Speaker 6

You do like like sc like not not so much like fire, but it's like like scorching air.

Speaker 4

And I just hurl it. Yes. Hurl it right at his face.

Speaker 6

Okay, so like right in the face.

Speaker 4

Yes, right in the face.

Speaker 6

Okay, so yeah, that's so yeah, you you produce this ball of like superheated air. It's like almost like plasma at that point, and you hit him with the face with it. And like already, like part of his face was already gone, you know, with the exposed skull, but you like scorch off the rest of it. So it's just it's just this grim skull with like the musculature for the jaw, and that's about left. All that's left in there. Like his it's it's all blackened and like crispy.

Speaker 7

And he's he just freaks out, like the jaw just drop like it's the zombie of like the like the Corvette is a zombie who was a g of a guy who died in a fire. Yeah. Alright.

Speaker 4

Little pew. And uh now I'm gonna have uh Fritter hop over to Venaria. Well, not hot, but you know, whatever otters do, you know. Gallivant.

Speaker 6

Yeah, so he he he leaves the space he was in with a little pop.

Speaker 4

Hooney might die.

Speaker 10

Oh no.

Speaker 4

Oh Hoon.

Speaker 10

Oh, sorry.

Speaker 2

Oh no.

Speaker 6

Unless you want to take Hooney with you, because you can do that too. I don't want to care. He can fly.

Speaker 2

Grab my son, please. Please don't explode him. Yeah.

Speaker 4

Take both of them. Alright.

Speaker 7

Yeah, you can do you can take up to five.

Speaker 4

Fritter, Fritter grabs.

Speaker 7

Alright, uh-huh, I'm probably going.

Speaker 4

Alright, and then we're going to.

Speaker 6

Any space 15 feet away. Okay. That you can see. Up two.

Speaker 12

Because Venaria wanted you to teleport.

unknown

Oh.

Speaker 6

So how tall is Brosef? I don't think we've established that yet. He is 12 feet tall.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 7

Okay, he's only 12 feet tall, so we can be and we can be three feet above him. Above his head. That's what I'm going for.

Speaker 4

Okay.

Speaker 7

Cool. So flash.

Speaker 6

Okay. So Brosiv needs to make a deck save. And he rolled a Nat 1. Oh. So he will take that. 1D6 plus 4. Yeah. So go ahead and roll a D6. Yeah. Damage coming from you, so you go ahead and roll it.

Speaker 10

Seven.

Speaker 6

Okay. So. Hammer first. Just letting gravity go. I mean, if you only fall five feet, then you don't really do any damage. Oh. Because that would just be all falling damage, and it has to be greater than ten feet.

Speaker 7

Or I mean we could do a thing of like hammer catches and I just keep sliding.

Speaker 6

Roll decks. Roll a dex A. Let's do it that way. Uh 15. Okay. So, um, you can make a melee attack.

Speaker 7

So, separately roll for the attack?

Speaker 6

Yes. Okay. Because the the dex A was to be like, okay, I've teleported it, now I have to orient myself to make an attack.

Speaker 7

Okay, 25. That will hit. Let's throw on. Let's do one more smite for right now. Okay, plus six. Um, thirteen bludgeoning, fifteen, twenty, twenty-two points of damage total. And then I guess hit the ground.

Speaker 6

We'll say you kind of knocked out some of that momentum so you don't take anything. Yes. Okay, cool. So that was Fritter.

Speaker 12

Mm-hmm. At the end of Jenova's turn.

Speaker 5

Yeah, so Hooney got to live.

Speaker 2

Oh joy.

Speaker 5

And Venar is once again in front of him. Like, I'm back, motherfucker.

Speaker 2

Uh, can I have him go and give I'm wondering if I can have him give Jenova the help action for her next turn.

Speaker 6

I certainly can.

Speaker 2

Yeah. I'm gonna have him go do that.

Speaker 6

Excellent. Alright. So that was Hooney. Now hold on.

Speaker 3

Oh god, he's turn.

Speaker 6

No, hold on. So, in in the middle of all this and seeing kind of kind of a struggle and just wailing on this thing over and over again. So you all hear from nearby some heavy steps. Uh. Of somebody in like really heavy armor running up, and then all leap, and you see this really heavily armored guy with a sword and shield land kind of off to the side there. And he shouts, Looks like it's hero time!

Speaker 2

Oh god.

Speaker 6

Is it his turn? Uh yes, actually. Strangely, he might have entered exactly when his uh in his initiative came. I wish I could do that.

Speaker 11

I wish I could do that too.

Speaker 6

So yeah, you do see this like extremely heavily armored, just about seven feet tall figure just show up out of nowhere.

Speaker 12

So we're like we're like buddies.

Speaker 6

Well, he comes in saying it's hero time.

Speaker 12

Yeah, and then a hero doll.

Speaker 6

It's morbin time.

Speaker 12

I was I was saying we're like the same height. Yeah. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 5

Like, what's up, fellow teleperson? Like, oh, I guess we're all huge here. That's what he said.

Speaker 12

Yeah, and then a hero doll. What is that from? What is it's morbin doll?

Speaker 6

Oh boy. That was what I referenced it.

Speaker 12

Yeah.

Speaker 2

In particular. Sorry. What the hell?

Speaker 7

So that's meme within a meme.

Speaker 2

That's what the kids call memeception.

Speaker 6

Excellent. So our our our hero shows up out of out of nowhere and and he's he is wearing this nice steel and what looks like kind of inlaid with gold armor. He's got a huge shield uh with a big crest on it, and he's wearing this really thick purple cloak. He's got a he's got a helmet on, so you can't really see his face.

Speaker 12

I I feel as though Delos feels compelled to lift his shield and go, brother, and then put that and then continue. He's like, yo!

Speaker 7

Like, hey. I feel okay, just to add to that, so it's like, hey, hey, Bernard's like, hey, you gonna help?

Speaker 6

I said I'm gonna be a hero, aren't I? And he comes he comes walking up. Well, I say walking. He he kind of trumbl trumbles. Trundles. Trundles. Trumbles? Trundles. He steps forward heavily. Sauntering is more saunter. Yeah, this guy saunters. Yeah. Uh is he?

Speaker 4

He looks like it.

Speaker 6

I thought he was a dra- he's got a tail. I thought he's a dragonborn. Well, on that note, dragonborn do not exist in Demora, but you can make a perception check.

Speaker 12

Do I know what dragonborn?

Speaker 4

My guess was armored.

Speaker 6

This is just make a perception check. Okay.

Speaker 4

Let's see. What are you, sir? Oh, well, yeah, I'm not answering. Uh, I got a 16.

Speaker 6

Very good.

Speaker 4

I got a four, so yeah, I'm clueless.

Speaker 6

So eighteen. If you got above a twelve, you all can see the red scaly tail coming out of his back with uh he's got like kind of dark brown plating on it. People from Demora, Dragonborn don't exist here. Yeah, so you don't know what that is. Oh well. But you do see it.

Speaker 7

Oh, so I thought there was a whole continent of animal people that like nobody nobody none of us picked, so it's kind of like swept on the.

Speaker 6

There are the beast folk from Korkori, who, yeah, they all look like animal people, but you don't remember anything about big lizard people that work snakes.

Speaker 4

I'm a water nymph, so to me he looks like an armored exoletal.

Speaker 6

Yeah, I mean, for for for what you can see, he just looks like a big scaly thing. Yeah. You can't see his face, right? Mainly he just doesn't look undead, so it's like, uh clearly alive. From what you can see, yeah. Breathing.

Speaker 12

It's like now he's going to hero all over that thing. He's about to hero all over the nasty.

Speaker 6

Yes. So locked in. Uh so yeah, he's he's gonna saunter on up, and the way he wields his shield isn't just I'm gonna I'm gonna hide behind this big piece of metal. It's like a second weapon. It's almost like he's dually dual-wheeling. He's going to What he's going to do is he's going to walk up and he's going to take a swing. His sword, you can see, this obviously is a it is a long sword. Uh, it is a very well-made long sword from what you can tell. But the important part is along the fuller, it is embedded with a a vein of materium. This materium is is white, as opposed to the kind of pale blue materium rings on. So yes, he's going to swing with that.

Speaker 12

And he does not have molding bond. If he was here, he would have.

Speaker 1

That is a 19 to hit, so that does. That does hit. And he is going to do 1d8 plus 9.

Speaker 6

That is 15. And from what you were seeing earlier, your hits didn't really seem to phase him. Like the magic parts were getting through, and that was clearly doing damage, but he didn't really bother by it. This sword makes contact with him and it he flinches back. Like it's it's causing what looks like real pain.

Speaker 5

What?

Speaker 10

Good, good.

Speaker 6

And then with his bonus action, he is going to slam that shield into him to try and shove him.

Speaker 8

Eh.

Speaker 6

So that is a. Ooh. Heck yeah. That's a 24. And he rolled a 15. He shoves this thing on its ass. So just knocks him prone. It goes he knocks him prone.

Speaker 10

Good. Good.

Speaker 6

Basically, he like like gets down like a lineman playing football and shoves the shield up into its core and puts him off balance so he falls back.

Speaker 12

Okay.

Speaker 6

And uh with that, he now has an advantage.

Speaker 12

To attack again.

Speaker 6

To attack again. Bacha! Guess what? He crits on a 19. He just cannot on this thing. Show off. Uh, you know, he's a hero NPC. What can I say? So he get that's base uh eight damage, and then six more damage, so fourteen plus nine. So he does twenty-three damage. Fenari's like, best not kill steel. I got some s I guess I got feelings to work out on this thing. When you've seen this thing take damage before, its body almost immediately starts rearranging, you know, to do that thing. It's not doing it this time.

Speaker 3

Nice.

Speaker 6

It is not. It it it is hurt and it is very it is struggling. It is now Fenari's turn.

Speaker 5

She's just like, the fuck did you hit him with?

Speaker 8

Uh where's your equipment? You guys came out here without what you need to do the job. What's happening? This is all I've needed.

Speaker 2

We're not from here. We've been gone a while.

Speaker 6

25 to hit. Uh, that does hit. How do you wish to end this back?

Speaker 7

Having had the it like knocked down in front of me, I just walk around casually tossing this massive ass hammer between my hands and uh step around to where the like exposed singed skull is and I'm just gonna do an overhand straight down on it.

Speaker 6

Oh, excellent. Just full-on ball in the golf hole. Yeah, you you heft the hammer up and and just slam it into its skull and it just mulches. And yeah, like the the figure before you, the the hero time guy, he will take his sword and poke it down into its middle and then scoop it up and bring out this bony mass out of its center. And yeah, it has been defeated. Well done.

Speaker 7

Yay.

Speaker 6

Yay. Uh but yeah, he he will he's got that bony thing on the end of his sword, and he puts his shield down and raises the visor up on his helmet, and now you can clearly see that is definitely lizard face. If anybody would like to make a history check. See if you've ever seen a dragon before. Still bonded.

Speaker 12

Well, we know that they have m seen a dragon.

Speaker 6

Yeah, no, I got a seven. They have seen a jabber walk, which looks kinda like a dragon. Well, we know we know the scale can exist, but well basically what we're thinking what we're looking for is like if you have specifically seen dragons.

Speaker 4

Thirteen. Fifteen.

Speaker 6

Twenty-six. Excellent. Okay, so if you got above a seventeen in Daelos, I don't I don't I don't know if you can actually make this right.

Speaker 12

But that was why I was like, can Dailos trick this?

Speaker 6

Yeah, like dragon dragons in Kumar are a little different. So this this maybe wouldn't have ping pinged for your thirteen. Exactly. Yes, we're gamifying that. So Venaria, you look at him and yeah, you do kind of think of like Scale Kin or like, you know, the the beastman from Korkori, but that looks an awful lot like what you've seen dragons are supposed to look like. Like in in like illustrations and you know, histories and things like that. That looks an awful lot like a dragon.

Speaker 8

Are you new here or oh well no, I've I've been here for oh, I don't know, a few yeah uh maybe eight years. Are you new here? You know, you can't kill that thing with those weapons, right?

Speaker 2

We know that now.

Speaker 7

We've been um out of the loop for a while.

Speaker 2

I've never been here before.

Speaker 12

Oh yeah, he kinda looks you up and down like you you Dales will give him a little shield shield tap. Yeah!

Speaker 8

Hey, you know what? You're gonna you're fine with me, brother. I don't know what you are, but you you you seem good good to me. Where'd you say you're from?

Speaker 12

Goat.

Speaker 7

He just stares at you like our large mechanical friend is from a different plane of existence. Where we've been for what we thought was about the last three weeks, uh, we've been informed uh here, which is home for us on Demora, it's been twenty years.

Speaker 8

Twhat LO wait, did you say you said you've been gone where?

Speaker 6

You've been somewhere for twenty years? Uh I'm sorry. I mean, yeah, you're I just I'm just like looking through my I'm like pulling out a guild emblem of some kind just to be like credentials. I mean, yeah, you got a you you with the guild? Do they send you on a mission?

Speaker 2

Twenty years ago.

Speaker 6

We it's complicated. Three of us are guild members.

Speaker 2

Lunette is gonna kinda step forward and she's gonna be like, we were here. We were here when it all started.

Speaker 8

What all started.

Speaker 2

This she just gestures at the flesh pile. The Venaria is m mutilating. We were here when this points at the flesh of piles started, and then we fell in a portal to a different place. It's a long story. A very long story. We've been gone the last 20 years. Please catch us up.

Speaker 6

Wait. Hold on. Wait. And he kind of stares off in his face for a second.

Speaker 4

And also, where where have we been? Where where did you even come from? Because you're you you're you're kind were not here when we left.

Speaker 8

Well if you've been gone for 20 years, I mean you wouldn't even of course you wouldn't know what I am. I we haven't been around too long, I guess. I'm um I'm I'm calling Dragonborn.

Speaker 6

I'm of the Emberscale clan. Um first clutch of Hono Ken. He kind of like pulls himself up, sorry, like, mmm, yeah, I'm very proud of it.

Speaker 7

It totally gives him a look like he's trying to speak to me. I know it.

Speaker 6

Uh you you all can roll a history check when you hear him mention Hono Kim.

Speaker 2

Oh, here we go. Whoa!

Speaker 6

No, Dalos, you don't know what the fuck that is. No, Dalos, put your hand down. Ah, jeez. First clutch of proper noun.

Speaker 2

I got a 10. You can roll in 20,000.

Speaker 6

You got a nap 20? Damn. Alright. Um well, okay, for history twelve, sixteen. Yeah, dirty twenty. Hey. Okay, well, um, when when he mentions Honochem, that is the name of one of the seven primal dragons. They're they're kind of considered like guardians of of Gamora. Um they they have been in the past known to make like wiverns and drakes, pseudo-dragons, kind of like beasties. Um, but they've never made anything like a humanoid, sentient, you know, conscious person that's standing in front of you. Are these like primordials? Like they predate the deities, or what's their level of historically, they were the first living beings on the planet, made specifically by Demora to protect the planet.

Speaker 12

Do you guys sta say this? Is Dalos learning?

Speaker 6

This is this is all like displaying on their HUD after they make the skill check, you know, they get all this information in a pop-up. So, you know, if they read it off to you.

Speaker 12

This is a chill guy who's like, he got the shield? You got the sword? Kill the cool guy.

Speaker 8

Yeah.

Speaker 12

And then hear it all.

Speaker 5

She she gradually stops crushing the thing again, steps back and watches her hammer on the grass, and so we're all coming into this with some blanks to fill in.

Speaker 7

How do you have uh materium in your sword?

Speaker 6

Oh, this? Oh, um well this is this is a materium weapon. You you don't you you've been gone.

Speaker 8

You need these to kill Necromeras, otherwise they just keep coming back. You could have fought this thing all day and you you would never have killed it.

Speaker 12

Delightful.

Speaker 8

But fortunately, I was here to save the day. I'll stop. I'll stop.

Speaker 2

I was about to say, I'm going to go put I'm gonna go give you a swirly. I'm gonna drag you into the living room. I'm gonna drag you into the restroom.

Speaker 6

He'll he'll she sheath she she he the uh he will sheath his sword and then like hold out a uh hold out a hand to shake, like they call me Sir Dromash. Knight errant of Fidelia.

Speaker 8

I don't really care for titles and stuff though, so Dromash is just fine.

Speaker 12

They also like with a flourish get rid of the uh sword of Natanya. And then Mike enthusiastically meet his hands.

Speaker 6

Oh yeah, you like predator shape.

Speaker 12

This is he doesn't actually know what this thing is. We don't do these.

Speaker 6

Um, excited. Use restraint on the pressure. He's so excited. No, they're uh actually make make a strength check.

Speaker 12

I was about to say like flesh hands, flesh hands, be gentle. Am I still raging?

Speaker 6

Are you?

Speaker 12

Has it been a minute?

Speaker 6

No. We can say no. You're still riding that adrenaline high.

Speaker 12

Save or check?

Speaker 6

To check.

Speaker 12

Uh how about a dirty 20?

Speaker 6

Uh he rolled a 22. Nice. So we almost. Yeah, so it's like you you can you can like predator like his his Oh wait!

Speaker 12

Oh wait!

Speaker 6

The four. Oh.

Speaker 12

23. Oh damn. Are you trying to win at hand trace?

Speaker 6

So yeah, you see these two clasp with like their forearm predator style, and they start squeezing, and like Delos' arm, like the metal kind of crunches in a little bit, and you see like the the plate mail on his arms kind of crunch in a little bit. And he kind of goes, uh, just real strong.

Speaker 5

Boys.

Speaker 4

This is an intense hand. Delos is happy. This is happy. This is this is happy. Dalos is thrilled.

Speaker 8

You're awesome. I like you. You're great. Yeah.

Speaker 12

Uh Lunette come.

Speaker 2

Can you spell it?

Speaker 8

I'm dromesh. They call me dromesh.

Speaker 2

I'll just spell it hello.

Speaker 8

D-R-O-M-A-S-H.

Speaker 2

Lunette comes up, offers up her prosthetic hand just for a shake. She's just like, don't. No big squeeze.

Speaker 6

He will he will shake your hand.

Speaker 2

Yep.

Speaker 6

However it is presented. He is down.

Speaker 4

Yep. That's uh Lunette. Obviously, we need to upgrade our weapons.

Speaker 6

Good to meet you. Well, we need to get to like civilization and Dalos. Yeah.

Speaker 4

Jenova.

Speaker 6

Jenova. Yes. It is wonderful to meet you.

Speaker 4

Nice to meet you.

Speaker 6

He will kind of bow to you. I walk or I I don't to extend my hand at first to say Venari of the Balian house of Fidelis. Fidelis? Oh, yeah. She'll shake your hand, like, yeah, it's good to meet you.

Speaker 5

She does go to forearm. It's a full like like warrior show.

Speaker 6

Excellent, yeah, yeah. He he like he he's down on it. He does she does avoid the the slightly damaged like brazen.

Speaker 12

No, you eat your hand like fits right.

Speaker 6

Yeah, there's like a handhold there now. That's convenient. You said uh fid Fidalis. Fidalis, yes. What was your name? Venaria. Are you perhaps related to a victor?

Speaker 7

And she the combat mode is now completely fallen away, and she there's a moment she's she has the hammer and she like leans on it like a staff.

Speaker 5

He's my brother.

Speaker 8

It was. You you probably want to come with me back to Ogun.

Speaker 6

Where's the notes for me talking about this?

Speaker 8

There I am.

Speaker 12

The whole bro moment was Dalos' barbarian showing. You guys have only seen Cleric bar.

Speaker 6

I got really intense for their birthday. Look, you'll need away, Cleric's you should come back to Ogin with me.

Speaker 8

Like you you would need to petition the governor to stay, but it's safe. There's plenty of supplies, warm beds. Dancing Mare makes a fantastic mutton, lettuce, and tomato.

Speaker 6

It's killer, I promise you. Oh, beer. I don't know if you've ever had beer before, but that's great. The mutton, nice and crispy. Yeah, yeah. Thank you for catching that. Well done. But I don't know if you've had beer before, but that's great too. They got some beer there. But you should you should come with me.

Speaker 8

Um, you you you, especially Venaria, probably want to come meet the governor.

Speaker 5

She's she's she's kind of back in the buffering mode and she's just like, I'll I'll I'll follow you.

Speaker 8

Hey, excellent. Uh well, it's gonna be about a day and a half to get back there, so we should get get moving.

Speaker 6

Just follow me. Well, he will basically just start walking um to like the north. He starts kind of walk just heading off northwest. But like I said, it will take about a day and a half, so there's just a lot of traveling happening.

Speaker 12

We'll begin grilling him on this mutton and beer thing.

Speaker 5

Good choice of words talking about food.

Speaker 8

No, it's great, it's great. They take they take some meat and they put it between bread with some lettuce, and it's what?

Speaker 2

Not quite. Lynette's just like no no no no. No, no, no. Not quite.

Speaker 5

We're still educating our friend about uh the the biological essentials and such.

Speaker 2

Dellis is new to the whole organics thing.

Speaker 8

Yeah, no, it's it's it's food. I'm not food.

Speaker 2

Wonderful.

Speaker 8

Me, not food. I don't eat you don't need to worry about me eating you.

Speaker 6

I'm trying I trust you. I'm glad. Seem good, and he goes for another arm. Guys at the back, like, uh, it's been a bit since I've been around Bro Energy. Romance. He's just really positive, dude. So what where have you been?

Speaker 7

Who were you doing without he's asking big picture questions?

Speaker 2

Have you heard of Kuma at all?

Speaker 8

Kuma. The realm of Metania. Uh no, I rolled it too. I had no fucking idea what you're talking about.

Speaker 12

Okay, can I help a bro out?

Speaker 5

You can absolutely hope that Venara just kind of like stops for a sec, and then you'll see the headband flash and she just starts talking. Parallel plane. Up until recently, sealed off from all other uh planes, accessible up by us by an accidental portal.

Speaker 2

Hang on. I have I have an idea.

Speaker 1

You have an idea?

Speaker 2

Okay, Dromash, put your hand out.

Speaker 8

Okay.

Speaker 2

We are here. We are here. She puts her hand underneath Drmash's hands, and she's like, okay, we're going to pretend that where we are right now is your hand.

Speaker 8

My hand okay.

Speaker 2

Yes.

Speaker 6

Here's my hand. And you hold it out to you. Yes.

Speaker 2

Yes. There are many, many, many worlds.

Speaker 5

Many hands.

Speaker 2

There are many hands stacked on top of each other. Luna puts his other hand right here. We were somewhere else, entirely separated from theirs. You were on a different hand. You are totally different hand for 20 years.

Speaker 6

For 20 years? That's a long time to be on another hand.

Speaker 8

Well, I guess it was only three weeks.

Speaker 2

How old are you?

Speaker 8

Well, how I'm 16.

Speaker 11

Oh, jeez. That is a long year. A long time for you. Oh.

Speaker 8

We were born fully grown, ready to fight the revenants.

Speaker 11

And as was I.

Speaker 8

What? Not to fight the revenant. No, no. Oh.

Speaker 11

Just born fully grown.

Speaker 8

Oh. Wow. Yeah. No, our mothers made us. My first memory is struggling to crack the shell with the horn on my nose. But I got through it.

Speaker 2

The egg does.

Speaker 8

I survived. I beat the egg.

Speaker 2

I beat the odds. And then I fought hordes for the egg.

Speaker 6

Years. And I've just kind of been pondering the primordial dragons thing.

Speaker 2

It's a lot of existential crises in one place.

Speaker 6

Yeah, yeah. Y'all are really complicated.

Speaker 2

Yeah. No.

Speaker 6

Yes. Yes.

Speaker 2

No, no. I'm not. Lunette pointing at you. Yes. Yes, actually.

Speaker 6

So it's like it's one of those things that like Venara, like, she had she had heard of the she's heard of the by the Primary Riddragons. He just was never given as much attention as the deities. Yeah. They're usually kind of background for most people.

Speaker 5

Well, and I think because again, the intellect the the headband just kind of like flaring, like kind of smoking a little bit, and she's kind of just goes, Why would the dragons create you to fight the revenants unless everyone else had failed? You really don't know, do you?

Speaker 2

Totally different hand, dude. For the third time.

Speaker 12

Now imagine holding your war hammer. Or your or your your great sword, your long sword in your left hand. My left hand. Your left hand.

Speaker 8

No, it goes in my right hand. Exactly. That was then. Oh, you're breaking my mind.

Speaker 12

That was then. They were I was in the left hand.

Speaker 5

Something, something egg metaphoric. Egg.

Speaker 12

We just keep explaining it more and more. It just keeps getting worse.

Speaker 5

We just lapse into awkward silence. We have a day and a half.

Speaker 12

Like no, there's there's no awkward silence. We're discussing this as we're walking.

Speaker 8

I don't know anything about the first four years. I wasn't born yet. But when things started falling apart, mom, you know, and the other dragons gave birth to us because no one else was around to do it.

Speaker 6

Everything was burning and dying. So we were born to fight it. Us and the draconians. But we don't we don't really deal with them. They fight. My kind we help and guard. We protect. The Draconians, they are vicious.

Speaker 2

OGs.

Speaker 10

I'm glad we've met you.

Speaker 8

Yeah. No, the the legions are all elsewhere right now. But yeah, you you're welcome to come with me. We can go back to Ogan. It's a great place. They've been real good.

Speaker 6

You gotta petition the governor. Because there's only so many supplies to go around.

Speaker 2

It it's hard, but if it's any uh consolation, that one doesn't eat. So I don't need supplies. Doesn't I do a little bit doesn't sleep like spare metals?

Speaker 6

I mean we got scrap, yeah. If you need that's fine.

Speaker 12

Yeah. Maybe nicer scrap.

Speaker 6

We'll we'll go back to Hogan, it'll be fine. But Saxy is not around anymore.

Speaker 8

So it's different, and that's that's good. Change is good, right? That's what I've been told.

Speaker 12

Nothing I've changed in a thousand years in Gaud.

Speaker 8

He's new to change.

Speaker 2

Sorry. He's very new to change. Very, very weird.

Speaker 8

We all say really weird things that kind of hurt my brain, but I'm here to help.

Speaker 2

I've then had entirely too much change in the last three weeks. Entirely too much change.

Speaker 4

Are there any Demorins in Ogun?

Speaker 6

The survivors are. Yeah. No, I mean, because not everyone died.

Speaker 4

Good, okay.

Speaker 6

Most of the world is like you see now. It's just kind of grayed out and fading away, but there are survivors who get together, and in Ogun, we have it. We have it pretty good. It's a good place.

Speaker 4

We'll be able to find more information there. Okay. Alright, let's go.

Speaker 6

Absolutely. As you are traveling along, there are zombies kind of all over the place. You all as veteran adventurers who are all level ten, I'm not gonna make you waste your time rolling for initiative and fighting zombies. Instead, what I would like you all to do is come up with creative ways to use your skills to dispatch the zombies on our way.

Speaker 12

How big are these zombies? Can I ask an above-table question? What is their challenge rating specifically?

Speaker 6

These are all like CR half quarters. That's all I are. I just needed the half. No, I like I serious I thought about it. I was like, I think what's better is to just let you guys come up with creative ways of killing zombies and just let it rip.

Speaker 12

When it's my turn, any zombie within 30 feet of me turns to dust as I channel divinity destroy undead. Because if it's anything CR one half or lower, it simply disappears.

Speaker 6

That's fantastic. Yeah, it's like drummature watching you go, whoa! Where do you learn to do that?

Speaker 11

All through our Lord our lady, my bad. Why can't I say that? How could I say that? Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All through our Lady Natalia.

Speaker 8

That's oh, that's awesome.

Speaker 12

Through her blessing, maybe live.

Speaker 8

I wish I could do that. That's like You could.

Speaker 12

I can I can connect to you with her. She is now connected to this plane.

Speaker 8

Really?

Speaker 12

Yes.

Speaker 8

Can you tell me talk to her now? Because that would be awesome to do, like right now.

Speaker 11

I don't know if I can do that. We can pray together. She might talk to us. She talked to me previously. She talked to all of us.

Speaker 6

So everybody roll initiative. Just to see when what order we do this.

Speaker 12

Oh yeah, I I can do that twice. So not too many times. I don't I think I only have two channels at seven. Oh dang, I got seven. Why am I rolling so low today?

Speaker 6

I feel like your dice tree hates you. That's why your dice avoided over and over again.

Speaker 2

Eleven. Fourteen.

Speaker 6

Okay. So Venaria. What creative way do you use to destroy the zombies?

Speaker 5

Um, I just hold my hammer horizontally and just linebacker it.

Speaker 6

Just use athletics and just charge through like a lawnmower. That's fantastic. Okay, uh, so roll roll a d20. Just see if you roll one. Two. Wow. Yeah, you about fall on your face at one point, but you do manage to get through. Um, excellent. So you have you have cleared a path on the way. Next up is going to be Jenova. So you've you've got a cluster of zombies in the way, and and they like everybody kind of like pushes you. Alright, you, your turn.

unknown

Okay.

Speaker 6

It's like a game at this point.

Speaker 4

I'm weld-shaping into a honey badger, and I'm going for thirst. Honey badger.

Speaker 6

You can do it in the most brutal way. That's like like you like the camera just looks at everybody watching, and they're all kind of like slightly horrified. That's like a different discretion shot, just the screaming.

Speaker 5

Blood coming from off to the blood coming from. Wild. That's wild.

Speaker 12

Best friends. Delos has become best friends with them in like three days. Hell yeah. We're gonna become best friends. Yes.

Speaker 8

Hell yeah.

Speaker 12

Um Delos is sheltered.

Speaker 7

These are my murder buddies. She's just very she sees she's very quiet. She's like, I just want you to know, Delos. I do respond to bro.

Speaker 3

Bam. Um in the middle of the room.

Speaker 6

Dr. Magic gets into three. Bros on three. Yeah, bro.

Speaker 2

Bruzon three. We all grunt.

Speaker 5

Everybody flexes and grunts. Which is weird just for Dalys, it's just clanking.

Speaker 3

Yeah. I'm bouncing my pecs.

Speaker 6

Anyway. Okay, so then Dromash. He is going to basically charge forward with his sword in front of him and or not the pardon me, shield in front of him with the sword out, and he's going to charge forward and like skewer a bunch of them. Victorian. And then like cut them in half with his shield along the blade. I love that.

Speaker

There's a little squishy. Lunette.

Speaker 2

I am going to use both my Claude Gauntlet and my Claude, like just a prosthetic. And I'm just going to start like tearing people up essentially. She just wants like she's she is she has gone through so much at this point. She's just kind of imagining uh Tadoth's face on most of these zombies. Because here's the thing. I don't think she hates Tadoth right now. I think she hates how little information he gives her.

Speaker 5

He frustrates her. He frustrates her so bad. It's like you're tearing into it screaming, like, you need to communicate better.

Speaker 2

So like she quite literally communication is the basis of a good look. Like she does like she has no idea. So much happened in three weeks. No explanation was given. Her name might be a shield. She is fucking tired. So she's just like, she's just gonna walk up and just start like tearing them down.

Speaker 3

That's fantastic.

Speaker 2

She's just like, she's like, give me a second. I need this. Hang on. Like if like Dalos goes to step up to like do something, she's like, I need this. Give me one second. She's like, give me a second. Oh yeah, just tear him down.

Speaker 6

Hell yeah. Below it. Okay. And then yeah, so Delos, um, you you're are you doing it?

Speaker 12

He's just gonna like like uh he's channeling all of his barbarian energy because he hasn't really done this because we have been in serious topics. Yeah, I mean this is you know you can't loose and and now now now he has two whole bros who like Venaria is feeling a little bit better because she said Dale's gonna call her brow. And Dromash is great, and so he just kind of like in the most way that he can smiles, and then he just kind of starts glowing a little bit from within, and he's just going to sprint into the nearest group, the largest group he can find, and just you'll see just his hammer and shield above, and then just everything dust.

Speaker 8

Tramash goes, yeah!

Speaker 12

Woo!

Speaker 4

Gerdalis. Welcome!

Speaker 12

He goes, Yes, this is what I was built for.

Speaker 4

This is the whole thing.

Speaker 5

Chest bumps Venario like I mean it's a tink between us because armor on armor, but still.

Speaker 7

How tall is he? I gotta ask now because Venar is tall.

Speaker 12

Oh, we're the same height! I knew it!

Speaker 7

We are brothers!

Speaker 8

Sorry.

Speaker 12

You said almost you said almost seven foot, and I went, we're the same.

Speaker 8

Yeah.

Speaker 12

That's why I said he showed up, Dalos went, brother. No hesitation.

Speaker 6

Excellent.

Speaker 5

No, so I was gonna say this is like a this is this is like an 80s bonding montage.

Speaker 12

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 5

Oh, it's exactly it's a rocky, it's a Rocky III thing.

Speaker 12

And Dalos has not stopped talking this whole trip. Like, he anytime someone needs to like this this little thing, I assume it's like, okay. Like Venaria is like, okay, I need to get rid of this last little bit. And Jenova is like, okay, let's let's focus, let's get rid of these guys. You know, Dramash just kind of does stuff, and then is like is like, I need to do this. Give me a second. The instant everyone's tired, Dalis is like, yeah. Anytime you can't.

Speaker 6

This like goes off like a star. Well, if we stop for a short rest, he's like, I will clear the path ahead. Yeah. That's fantastic. So yeah, there's there's you know, with on your on your adventures through the newly post-fall Demora, there will be, you know, instances of this.

Speaker 7

Um, I think eventually it'll occur to Venara to to ask uh Drmesh about the governor of of Ogun. It's like what kind of person is are they? Like, is there a specific thing we need like procedure to follow to petition?

Speaker 8

Uh well, um first things we're gonna need to check in when we get there, and then you need basically just need to go to his office.

Speaker 12

Will you vouch for absolutely?

Speaker 8

I'm gonna I'm gonna I I will vouch for you all. The the governor's a uh he's a great guy.

Speaker 6

You'll love him.

Speaker 12

Dalos trusts entirely, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 6

Just implicit trust. Like we are we are understanding.

Speaker 12

Dalos was like, you and I are one of the same.

Speaker 6

I think I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Speaker 12

Dalis is like, I just I literally, I just need to convert you, and then we are like, we're like you to my religion real quick. Yeah.

Speaker 8

I don't know about that, but the rest of it I am absolutely down for. Yes.

Speaker 6

So you all make your way down the road, and there's lots of instances of bonding and just killing zombies because they're basically just walking meat at this point for you all. But eventually you do make it to the outskirts of, you know, what what the Thhaxians here will would recognize as the outskirts of Ogun, because it's basically just like one of the biggest cities that Thaxia had, so you you know, you were likely to have gone there at one point or another. Is it like of similar size still, or is it very much like shell of its former self? Well, that's the thing. Is the vast majority of it is basically in ruins at this point, like between fires, looting, just general destruction, there's pretty much no buildings out here that are still standing.

Speaker 10

Is it kind of like the outskirts of goud?

Speaker 6

It is a lot like the outskirts of goud, yeah. And and um comfortable. Yeah. But instead of there being colorful clockwork people wandering around, you know, rooting for mage ball players, um there's there's occasional zombies and nastiness kind of scouting around. Right? This is just what the world looks like.

Speaker 12

Yeah.

Speaker 6

And then you make your way to actually you can see the walls of of Ogin. Uh what was once the central part of the city, you know, that was just behind the walls. Now that's basically all that's left standing. There's high stone walls with guards patrolling. You can see tall towers, like even from where you're at right now, you you can tell these are manned. The colors of Thaxia, which which you used to see when you would come here, are just gone. Um, in their place, there are banners of black, green, and silver. On the other side of the wall, you can see kind of pillars of steam drifting up from something. And despite it's kind of approaching sunset, and but you can see the inside of the city is like really very well lit. Anyone can roll a perception check.

Speaker 2

That's a dirty twenty.

Speaker 6

Twenty twenty-four. Twelve. Yeah, you all will notice that the walls are reinforced in some way. There's metallic spikes all around the base and up the walls. Um, and they're all connected to the ones around them with some form of wire or cable.

Speaker 12

Can I say to help people relax on the journey? Before we ever got here, anytime he was not trying to help bro or kill things. Dalos was playing his little dulsomer. His big man is. Tiny little instrument.

Speaker 6

Okay, roll roll performance for me.

Speaker 12

So everyone has fun. So everyone relaxes. Ooh. Well, that is a 23 damn. Oh damn it. I have a plus zero on charisma, but I have a plus four to Kripper's performance.

Speaker 6

Hell yeah. Uh see, I will I'm gonna say you all get inspiration. Yes, nice. From from the awesome journey and the bonding and the the great Dulcimer playing.

Speaker 4

Tramash. I I had a question. Um what happened to the trolls? Did they did they turn to zombies too? Were they zombied?

Speaker 6

I haven't seen any. There there are a few down here. Some of them were turned into revenants, uh, but most of them are still way up in the north. Okay. Uh past the northern wastes. So we don't we don't see them much. I wouldn't want to see one though. I haven't.

Speaker 1

So now, yes, we have talked about the metal spikes, and no one was interested in the spikes, so we'll just skip over that a little bit.

Speaker 12

The spikes are sick. Is the spikes made of cool metal?

Speaker 1

They're I mean, they're spikes, but nobody wanted to ask about it. Are they made of cool metal? Uh sorry, I was distracted.

Speaker 12

I was distracted with rocky ones. I was asking, are they made of cool metals? That's specifically what I'm asking. Are they made of cool metal?

Speaker 8

Those those spikes? Yeah. Well, they help keep the necromera the necromera away from the walls.

Speaker 2

The necromancer.

Speaker 8

That's we talked about this earlier.

Speaker 2

The zombies. Right.

Speaker 7

I wrote it as necromare as if like a like a necrotic female horse, and I was like, that seems insulting.

Speaker 6

Necromera like necrotic chimera.

Speaker 12

What kind of metal are those made out of?

Speaker 8

They're uh like copper or something.

Speaker 6

I'm not sure what they're made of, but the the necromera hate 'em. They they stopped attacking uh the city for the most part once we put those out.

Speaker 10

Can I identify what the metal is?

Speaker 6

You can make a perception check.

Speaker 10

I am a son of a jeweler.

Speaker 2

I should also argue that you are made of metal, so perhaps I am also made of metal.

Speaker 6

You can roll with advantage. It is an alloy. Mostly of copper. With perhaps materium.

Speaker 12

Boring. Whatever.

Speaker 7

I mean, this maybe sometimes you have an artificial is like, oh you've electrified the walls.

Speaker 6

Um but yeah, they're they're clearly made of some kind of conductive material, and then they have that materium vein that looks an awful lot like what Dromash has in his sword. So you could surmise these are probably just like passive materium weapons.

Speaker 12

Can I move the materium?

Speaker 6

The materium.

Speaker 12

Like like I could previously do with the cores. I don't know, just like as we tried. I have not, and I was I was gonna ask if I didn't know if that that would happen on the wall while I was trying to surmise what it was made of.

Speaker 6

Oh, so you like actually go up to the wall and like mess with it. Okay. Boo. So this so this comes from you you as a player, is this something unique to you, kind of homebrewed. You you have had the ability to kind of shape materium. You used it mostly for kind of helping repair like cores and stuff like that back back in your home. Um but you've not really tried it on just materium, yeah, really. Um but you feel like you could. You can roll charisma.

Speaker 12

Just flat.

Speaker 6

A charisma check. Willpower go.

Speaker 12

That is a natural twenty. God damn.

Speaker 6

So Odellos, I think you need magneto. So yeah, you you put your hand on this on this material. I just mean like spike.

Speaker 12

I'm not trying to like strip the wall.

Speaker 6

Well, no, you yeah, you could you you do it and it responds immediately, and it kind of like bends out of the spike a little bit before you realize what you're doing. And you kind of like, oh, and you kind of put it back in a bag.

Speaker 12

Just gently just press.

Speaker 6

Yeah, it goes back to where it was. It seems to still be functioning. But yeah, it looks like you could absolutely bend the stuff around.

Speaker 12

I could absolutely ruin this city's day. That's where your brain goes. This is why it's a good thing. I'm lawful neutral for a good day. Yeah.

Speaker 6

So now we've established that uh that that Delos can um weaken the defenses of the city.

Speaker 12

I didn't want to mess up Drmash's sword because I was gonna ask if on our trip I could like mess with it, and I was like, oh no. Not the homie.

Speaker 8

No, no, no, not that. No. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 12

We'll just like touch it like before.

Speaker 8

Get consent before you touch a brother's sword.

Speaker 12

Exactly. You gotta have content consent. This is my sword.

Speaker 8

I only only me only I touch my sword.

Speaker 6

It's I'm very it's very personal. Um you're walking through the ruins and you come up to the city gate, watched over by a pair of heavily armed footmen wielding halberds, a really strange design, kind of looks like they're covered in machinery of some kind, all up and down their length. They will give a slight bow to Dromash, who gestures back to the party. Good to be back! These folks are with me. Found them going toe-to-toe with a berserker. Uh they got nowhere to go, figured they'd prefer somewhere with a roof. Uh and the guards will nod and call up for the gate to open. They also bow to give them a a full like ther like a tha uh thaxian tff salute. They will they look surprised, but they will salute back. Uh just make sure to sign them in with Gunter.

Speaker 11

Gunter?

Speaker 6

We'll do. Yeah, Gunther's great. You'll like Gunter.

Speaker 11

Oh yeah. Gunter.

Speaker 6

Yeah, Dromash will take you inside the gate, and like just inside there's this little brick building. Uh, and and he will take you in through the door there. There is a counter inside. And inside behind the counter is a just a generally large orc. Uh, very well dressed. Got little pincenez glasses on the bridge of his nose. He's got graying hair pulled back in a very tight ponytail. And he's got a placard on the counter that reads Gunter Blood Gorger.

Speaker 3

Can I understand?

Speaker 6

And he's he's looking at Dromash very, very unimpressed. Did you bring me my mushrooms? And Dromash will pull out a small sack and set it on the counter. I'd I'd go easy on those. They were growing next to some raw materium. Don't you tell me how to live, boy.

Speaker 2

Oh shit.

Speaker 6

Who are they?

Speaker 2

Can I say hello to him in Grenda? I speak Grenda.

Speaker 1

Sure.

Speaker 7

I uh every time you say that phrase, my brain goes, I speak Jive.

Speaker 2

Uh so Lunette uh just kind of like puts her hand up and she greets him and Grunda. How's that go? I don't know. I didn't think that through. Bonjour.

Speaker 6

You don't gotta roll for it, but it's like give me a give me a Grunda greeting. Good and talk. This would be Grunda the the the the proper name for orcs, as they call themselves.

Speaker 2

Yes. Uh I don't know. Well met? Something like that. I don't remember. I don't remember.

Speaker 6

You have license to to make a language choice here.

Speaker 2

I'm trying to think. Hark. Hark. It's just stopping, Grenda. Yeah. Stop.

Speaker 6

Sop. Yeah, that actually the one where you're like, that's a little informal.

Speaker 2

I don't know you. Lynette's almost died several times in the last three weeks. She does not care. Formality. She needs like at least three more days before the formality re-kicks in on her head.

Speaker 6

These are some new friends of mine. They're gonna petition the governor to stay. He'll kind of start he'll scoff and he'll pull out a book and puts it on the counter. You're welcome. That was always there, it was already there. You just jumped the gun. Sign you. And he will wait for you to all sign it.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 7

Uh Venaria has not adopted this affectation in for her many years. Um, but she actually uh dra draws on her um what was gonna be lady in waiting training before her family's like portion went to shit. And so she like she one, she steps to the back of the line, she lets everybody else go, and then very just like still full art fully armored and shit, saunters up to the counter and s and basically uses up the entire space to do this giant ass Venaria of the most ancient Bailey and house of Fidelis.

Speaker 12

Ilos just puts like z to make it a little bit into the It's basically like a name and an end time. 273.784.389.68.

Speaker 6

I can't decide to. See, you made this long ass number, but now you have to remember that number.

Speaker 12

No, I don't. What I'm saying though, I only have to remember the first bit because the rest of it's time of how long he's lived. This is like star date. It's basically a random number. Okay. The first three are the same, and I know the.

Speaker 7

At first I thought you were gonna go binary, but this is better.

Speaker 12

It is it is his exact date of current date.

Speaker 6

Very good.

Speaker 12

According to internal clock, which is running really slow right now, I guess.

Speaker 6

Uh there's a lot going on. There's a lot of new information. It's hard, like it's a lot on the RAM. Yeah. Um, but once everybody has all signed in, he will go ahead and continue. Welcome to Ogan. Please keep in mind there is a 10 o'clock curfew, at which time the case will close until morning.

Speaker 8

You may keep your weapons, but please keep them sheed or otherwise unequipped at all times. Please address any and all concerns, complaints, or suggestions to the Chamber of Commerce. If there is nothing else, do enjoy your time with us.

Speaker 6

Hey, we'll take the book back and slam it back down.

Speaker 12

He just he like doesn't even look at us, doesn't it? Like Venaria, the the big signature, doesn't just yeah.

Speaker 6

Lunette's arms, yeah. On the way out, like don't you? Yeah. So um, yes, as you as you head out, Dromash will lead you down the main thoroughfare, kind of nodding and waving to people as he goes. Uh he's a very popular person here.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 6

Um the architect pro. Hey, yeah, good to see you. It's like if Dallas had lips, he would be like making eye contact with people and mouthing. Yeah, no, he's just he's just generally, you know, being amicable and talking to people. Kind of become best friends. Yeah. Become best friends? I think we just became best friends. But yes, as the architecture in Ogun is kind of this hybrid of really ancient buildings, because this is this city is been was built back in like the second age. Um, so there's like really, really old buildings here, but also there's like this more Spartan uh part of it where they've been basically building just to survive. You know, so we just need buildings. So those these are the more recent buildings that make up a good chunk of it as well. Lamp posts, which used to be you know lit by lamp lighters. They would go around with the little wicks, and you know, it was a very manual experience. Now they are all lit with chunks of materium with those cables running overhead and kind of down in these little coils to power them uh via you know materium. So they're they're brighter and and don't require anybody to go light them.

Speaker 5

We've entered the steampunk portion of they have advanced a bit in 20 years.

Speaker 12

We were in solar punk previously in KM Punk. Now we're in steampunk.

Speaker 6

Yes. But then you will get close to some it looks like a miniature fortress, but Dromash will point it out. That's the governor's mansion right there. That's where we're headed. You're gonna love this guy, I promise. He's blind. Don't let that fool you. Somehow he can still see you, even with his eyes all covered up. The guards at the entrance will nod, but they're not gonna like stop you or anything as you pass by. The inside of the mansion still has its size and grandeur, just in its architecture, but it appears to they have made sacrifices of this place for like the greater good of the city. The art pieces that you would have expected to see are all just gone, the walls are bare. A lot of the spaces have been converted into clearly like military or medical needs. Dust, which you would normally not see in a place this fancy, is started collecting everywhere because they haven't had serving staff to clean up. Yeah, there's nobody dusting, they're trying to survive. Um but Dromash will lead you to the center of the mansion where the the governor's office sits. The door is slightly ajar there. Uh voices can be heard speaking to one another through the crack. You can make another perception check.

Speaker 2

Very perceptive episode. I got a three sixteen. I am rolling not well today.

Speaker 1

Ah, very good.

Speaker 6

I'm glad at least one of you made it. So, um, nobody else hears this, but Genova, kind of before Dromash can get to the door, you hear a couple of people talking. Oh, village just disappeared. What do you mean? Patrols passed through there two weeks ago. It was fine, no problems. This week it's a ghost town completely empty. Not even a stray cat. There's no way. There were a thousand people in Willensmill. They couldn't have all just And then Dromash knocks on the door, interrupting them. Knock, knock, I hope I'm not interrupting.

Speaker 2

Oh brother.

Speaker 6

Bro, bro. Oh brother. Bro. He opens the door and there's two people in there. There is a middle-aged man with long salt and pepper hair and a beard. And a tall uh Lodan elf, uh, platinum blonde, ponytail, and eye patched, got cross scars. Uh the woman will turn around and glare at Droman. Droman, you can't just barge in like that. Lunette sees the Lodan elf and just like just kind of goes like very stereotypically haughty people, and she is not doing anything to assuage that. No, no, she's just kind of like, ooh do. Yeah. But the guy at the desk will say, Kildora, please. Uh and this is he has his eyes all bandaged up. And he will stop dead still and look over at Venaria. And kind of gasps. You recognize this person.

Speaker 7

Dad? No. In his in middle age though, he'd probably look more like dad. That's a victor.

Speaker 6

Yeah.

Speaker 7

Age 20 years. I need to make some kind of s uh saving throw to not lunge. Because he's clearly like not really able to catch.

Speaker 6

Um you make a wisdom save. Okay, so that's a two.

Speaker 3

Um catch.

Speaker 6

You can make a dexterity save if you want, yeah. Is it against something I can see? Six total. So is that is that the save for me to act to avoid lunging? That is your save, yeah. That is your self-control. Okay, self-control's gone.

Speaker 12

Uh 17. I rolled a net one on my advantage because I have uh the it stuff. But uh, yeah. I because I'm within 10 feet of you, too.

Speaker 6

Yep, so you can say that sour of. Yeah, Venaria kind of snaps and tries to leap at Victor and and Dalos catches her. Damn Venaria, what took you so long? Speaker 2

Speaker 6

Yes. Nine. Okay, so you all will What the fuck? I was trying to move my microphone. Yeah, that's that's the that's the sound of the chunk monster. At the cross to the ride.

Speaker 2

The microphone was swinging at me, so I tried to fix it.

Speaker 6

It's got a little fa little baby face on top of like the one. Yeah, there's just like an owl head sticking out of the side of its neck.

Speaker 2

This is awful, it's just cursed. Anyway.

Speaker 5

How rude.
